I am so glad that almost everyone agrees that this arc is forced drama.

There are 2 or 3 shit eaters of course, but for the most part, the majority can see through the bullshit contrived writing gimmicks.

I can't even tell what Gojo's issue with the cosplay event was. Was it related to their difference in "cast", or her being "taken away", or him being conflicted between focusing on cosplay and dolls, or something else completely?

If i am right, it's mostly to do with difference in their world and scope.

Gojo still believes that Marin lives in a separate world in which he can't enter, so he had previously decided to help Marin by becoming a stepping-stone for her.

But in the previous arc, he came to the realization that Marin is moving ahead and away too fast, while he is being left behind alone with no clear path to follow.

I don't think his issues with Non-chan should be related to what is currently happening to him. All I can think of, future plot-wise, is that Marin started to break through his walls, and now the reason for the walls reappears, which will make resolving the actual problem harder.

My guess is that, Non-chan was re-introduced because Author wanted to create more friction between Gojo & Marin.

It's clear that Non had some sort-off a crush on Gojo when they were kids, which is why she hated that he ignored her and worked on making Hina Dolls.
But Gojo has no interest in her, so there is something possibly going to happen with Non acting out against either Gojo or Marin, forcing them to separate even more (like blaming Marin for misdirecting Gojo with Cosplay and Gyaru culture, or making it so that Gojo starts focusing more on his Hina Doll work that he starts ignoring Marin more).

I agree on those takes honestly

The potential for forced drama with the girl is kind of annoying specially cause we know Marin’s going to win so there’s no real need for it, but, could always just be her apologizing and or just well played out drama that fleshes out a character

The conflicting goals is a nice touch

As for the phone interruption cliche, yeah, cmon just finish the sentence, that cliche is a horrible one and the only thing I hated

Some people feel like it’s being dragged with 0 progress and that the ending should’ve come a long time ago; but I feel like this is fine, I’ve been loving it and haven’t really had an issue with anything other than situations like the phone call cliche

People r also saying it hasn’t been fun lately/ the arc has been shit; and that it’s been shitty drawings and plot, I’d argue it def hasn’t, Idt every arc has to be fun nor that it’s shit

U could make the argument for characters not acting how they acted at the beginning but people ain’t robots

Sure it’s slower than at the beginning but that’s natural and fine to me, and a ton is about to prolly happen

I feel bad for the author because you know this is all mandated by the editors. They definitely had a storyline and plot set early on, but then the anime became the biggest thing ever and all the sudden having an end isn’t an option.

And you become like all the super long running romance mangas, 0 progress to a fault, and it’s the egregious “interruptions” that always stall things that really grind people’s gears. Like the Hand Of God coming down and preventing it by any means necessary, but the hand of god is just the editor
