So, basically the Shadow Warriors are "Section 31" now

You would not believe how happy I am that somebody else had this exact same thought. DS9 still rules.

Massive Hype for Lineal. No matter the context to even get Serie on her knees at any point in time is insane for a human mage. Remember Macht? he couldn't even do anything to Serie. She played with him like a toy. So Lineal must be insane in combat to be able to do that and for Serie to trust her enough to send her on this dangerous of a mission. I thought before that the strongest human mage might be Lernen but I guess in combat Lineal might just be the strongest human mage so far?

Really hope they aren't just deathflagging her like this. I said from the very beginning this is probably the highest the stakes have been for so many human/elf characters that at least one waifu is probably gonna bite it this arc.

Also no way Serie forgot about Frieren right? the disrespect lol saying she's the only one who remembers Flamme when Frieren is literally there still alive as well

Pretty sure she meant that nobody is old enough to remember what Flamme was like as a smiling young girl, not even Frieren, because that was before they met.

That structure feels like the military in my country, to an extent. They are much more free to act independently if communication is impossible. Which happens in war. But this is more free than that.

I'm not sure her explanation holds up, though. At the scene, you would coordinate in real time based on your judgement, but within limitations of your orders. She seems to assume that those limitations are very strict.

Can't speak to how it might work in your country, but my understanding of the US military is that you are "expected" to follow the Rules of Engagement and any international laws on war crimes that the US officially recognizes, regardless of whatever your orders are. So while yes, you are allowed to act independently if chain of command breaks down or communication is impossible, that doesn't mean you can do whatever you want with impunity. Obviously people will fuck up here, intentionally or otherwise, but that's why court martials exist.

The way the Shadow Warriors seem to operate is that there aren't any rules of engagement and they don't answer to any laws. They could basically kill anyone at any time for any reason they deemed fit without having to answer to any political authority, not even the emperor. That's less like a military body and more like a secret police.

RIP Lineal. Sacrificed for power scaling.

Sein meets a bunch of the new Mages, but they are creepy teen Ubel and hair-loli Sense. No chance he gets to meet hot middle-aged woman Methode? boooo. I want to see Sein's "AWOOOOOGA" moment.

Lineal getting hyped up means either she's going to get merc'd for power scaling, or she's a traitor! How else does she get those profiles of all the shadow warriors?

That's just the Press Release version. The US Military violates international laws on war crimes all the time. Sometimes accidentally, but often on purpose. Targeting civilians, attacking food sources, use of outlawed weapons like white phosphorous bombs, political assassinations, coup d'etat, anything goes. They even have a Law that states if any member of the US Miltary is tried for war crimes by the ICC, the US will Invade the Netherlands in retribution.

Hey it is Mr Gorilla! It is now confirmed.

With all of this hype will Lineal get killed by the Shadow Warriors to increase the tension? Will she kick some insane ass? Well even if she does die as long as she goes out like a bad ass I don't mind.

I do hope we get to a see Serie flex a bit though. Forcing Serie to a knee in a practice match is an amazing feat, but it is pretty unlikely she took it particularly seriously or used some of the crazier spells she knows.

So, there is a possibility of a three-pronged war between:

1. Continental Magic Association
2. Imperial Mages
3. Shadow Warriors

Although I haven't had a clear idea as to whether the Shadow Warriors truly move on their own and without the Empire's commands. But I'd welcome the possibility because the dispute is getting complicated.

The next one is about Lineal. Well, she is stronger than I thought, and it seems that she will have a bigger role than an NPC spy.

Although I couldn't shake my suspicion of her being a double agent. But that's just a mere conjecture now.

And finally, our Mr. Gorilla. I mean, the community have deduced about this for quite sometime. So, this is hardly a surprise. We haven't seen Gorilla yet from the Shadow Warriors' members currently in the Empire.

Come on, Sein. Bring closure to your own story.

The empire also did dissolve the shadow warriors so what the shadow warriors do right now isn't exactly what the empire wants right now? So it might become a three-way battle between the CMA, the Empire mages, and the shadow warriors?

Also no way Serie forgot about Frieren right? the disrespect lol saying she's the only one who remembers Flamme when Frieren is literally there still alive as well
No no, Serie is the current only living being to remember Flamme as a child, to remember her smile during childhood. Flamme found Frieren, an elf child, during her adulthood.

In theory but they arent the US military, they are more close to the CIA Special Activities Center.

The Shadow Warriors seem to been given too much independence were a Commander can simply decide that is a target to be taken out and act without needing approval, this is why the King disbanded the group because there was no real oversight over their activities, the only limitation seems to be they were limited to within the Empire and maybe the target list but when we seen that the Hero Party was included in the list that means it was incredible broad to the point they might as well put "anyone", in case people forgot Frieren is also in the list and she was almost attacked by the last surviving member of one of the Shadow Warriors group.

LOL. People seem to forget that Serie thinks Frieren is a garbage magician by elf standards. Frieren and Serie do not get along at all, and Frieren only tolerates Serie because she is the teacher of her teacher. Frieren don't give a FUUUU about magic standards, given by how little she cares if she is a first class magician or not, she only cares if anyone gets in her way. She is going north to meet Himel. So any disrespect from Serie towards Frieren is very much possible, and very much insignificant in Frieren's eyes, because she is not a mage to please anyone else, she is a mage to discover all available spells as her teacher taught her to be.
