I do not like Lineal being mentioned in this context (assassinations) after they just mentioned that she somehow made Serie kneel. I have a feeling either her or Gorilla will end up killing Serie.

It's one thing if they are "no-kill" like most superheroes, but it's a genius idea to make a secret assassination group you have no control over once they deem the government the problem.

Welp... I have my answer... they are traitors, obviously, an organization focused on zealotry would at some point think they know best, especially since they are too focused on violence... violent institutions ALWAYS think they know best.

I don't get why these reveals were done through long exposition all in one chapter.

It's nice that it's a three way battle though this time.

Also no way Serie forgot about Frieren right? the disrespect lol saying she's the only one who remembers Flamme when Frieren is literally there still alive as well
She's saying that no one remembers the smile of the little girl with that dream. She's thinking back to the time before Flamme was ever considered a Great Mage and was just another child that Serie took in on a whim.

Frieren never knew that Flamme, only Serie will remember the Flamme of that time now that Flamme is just extolled as the Great Mage. It really is emphasizing that Serie may talk a big game about how none of her apprentices surpass her, but she truly does love them and remember them in her own weird elf way.

It can't "only pose a threat". It's dangerous and unpredictable, but isn't solely a threat. It can also be a great asset, which is probably why they were created in the first place.
The idea is that it will inevitably become a threat one day. Absolute power corrupts absolutely, after all.

ok, so Gorilla is confirmed to be a shadow warrior. Also massive Hype for Lineal. No matter the context to even get Serie on her knees at any point in time is insane for a human mage. Remember Macht? he couldn't even do anything to Serie. She played with him like a toy. So Lineal must be insane in combat to be able to do that and for Serie to trust her enough to send her on this dangerous of a mission. I thought before that the strongest human mage might be Lernen but I guess in combat Lineal might just be the strongest human mage so far?

The empire also did dissolve the shadow warriors so what the shadow warriors do right now isn't exactly what the empire wants right now? So it might become a three-way battle between the CMA, the Empire mages, and the shadow warriors?

Also no way Serie forgot about Frieren right? the disrespect lol saying she's the only one who remembers Flamme when Frieren is literally there still alive as weI think ll
Lineau must be a disguised demon.

Guess Gorilla's death (most likely by Sein himself) will hit the last nail for Sein to join Frieren's party.

Maybe she thinks that she's the only person who truly knows her, given that she basically reared Flamme from childhood to adulthood and saw her entire life nearly to the end, I might go as far as to say Serie in her own "indifferent" elven way sees herself like a parental figure who has long outlived her child. While the more indifferent younger Frieren only saw the adult Flamme, and still hadn't grasped some things about her even after all these years until very recently when her persepctive and personality have been altered by travelling with the hero's party and Fern & Stark.
The more I think about this, maybe some sort of a subconscious complex about Flamme is the starting point of Serie's dislike of Frieren which just manifested itself in her rigidly maintaining a complete distate of her (and thereby even Flamme's) philosophy of magic.

Me thinks Capitan Phrase could be Lineal... You need to infiltrate a high position to not get noticed. Plus with the top-tier info, it makes sense.
