@Halo
Reading reviews is a waste of time when you can just watch or read the work in question and see for yourself.
And if you can't do even that, then you don't deserve it in the first place.
Not entirely true though. I agree with the 'don't always adopt the opinions of others' mentality, but reviews are useful in that they can point out things you may have missed while watching/reading, as well as indicate whether or not a work is worth taking the time to view (for people who don't want to view a work that could be a potential time sink).

There are plenty of reviewers that make their reviews worth watching as well, usually by adding entertainment value and insightful dialogue/connections/trivia that you wouldn't have known otherwise.

Subject [i] was observed giving his two cents (roughly 0.185 Norwegian Krone) on the Rainforest Conglomerate.
Onlookers were baffled at the unusual parlance employed, though experts have assured us that it refers to fictional characters and not another Epstein Island scenario.

Forum Moderators are part of what makes MangaDex forums wild and special. Seeing a Forum Moderator is often a matter of luck, but you can increase your chances if you know where and when to look. The best places to see Forum Moderators are those locations that they can't afford to ignore. For example, Forum Moderators are sometimes in the Support forum digging up threads to respond when they feel charitable, while during a new announcement you may see Forum Moderators protecting newbies from Rickrolling and responding to the same two questions. Even if you don't see a Forum Moderator, you can look for signs of them โ€” moderated comments, locked threads, the lack of scat, scratch marks and bits of fur on tree bark, and random "ok mod".

If you do see a Forum Moderator, remember you are a visitor in their home. Your behavior may have life or death consequences not for a Forum Moderator, but for you. Follow the steps below for a more enjoyable visit and remember that Forum Moderators are wild animals. Like any wild animal, they can be dangerous and are sometimes unpredictable. Attacks on shitposters are rare, but they can occur.

[ul]Respect a Forum Moderator's space. Waiting for others to fuck up allows you to view Forum Moderator without getting too close.[/ul]
[ul]Never ping excessively, PM without a reason, openly stalk, or displace Forum Moderators. If a Forum Moderator changes its behavior because of your presence, you are too close! Also, check with the pinned threads for viewing distance regulations, which may vary based on species and terrain. For example, The General forum doesn't require shitposters to keep a distance, while it's best to leave them alone in discussions and manga comments.[/ul]
[ul]Stay in groups and maximize noise and shitposting. However, in threads of low visibility or when you're out necroing threads, reduce chances of surprise encounters by staying alert and talking amusingly to identify yourself as a shitposter, not just a moron.[/ul]
[ul]Stay in designated forums whenever possible.[/ul]
[ul]Leave "orphaned" or sick Forum Moderators alone. Young Forum Moderators that appear alone usually have an administrator waiting nearby. Never get between an administrator and her cub.[/ul]
[ul]Leave porn in the NSFW section.[/ul]
[ul]Give Forum Moderators a reason to ignore you.Do NOT run towards a Forum Moderator. Read more about staying safe around Forum Moderators.[/ul]
[ul]Let Forum Moderators moderate their natural targets. Prevent Forum Moderators from moderating shitposting by not crossing the line like a clown.[/ul]
[ul]You are responsible for your safety and the safety of wildlife. If a Forum Moderator approaches you, it is your responsibility to be civil and keep your autism in check.[/ul]

October 4, 2020.

Since corporations are people, it's only fair to think of MangaDex as a small, mentally challenged child.
On this fateful day, our little warrior was once again transferred to the intensive care unit due to the Error 502.
And because no staff was around to comment on its health, we can only assume the worst...

On a separate note, enjoy this photo of BD8's rare display of emotion, as he uses the word "whoops" to sound playful:

Subject [i] made a puzzling remark implying that he would ever consider sharing some of that sweet, sweet donation money with the overworked slaves moderators.
Perhaps this was true back when Subject [H] was also in charge, but it seems Subject [i] is done pretending to adhere to the ways of old.
The thread being locked and tagged with [Implemented] to silence any further dissent only lends credence to this theory.

Subject [T] was observed declaring that they wish to have the ability to not require sleep to properly funciton as well as lacking any sense of tiredness, the writer is concerned as to wether Subject [T] knows about the psychological and physiological risks of said "superpowers" and how it would be detrimental to their overall health.

Seriously tho, you would kill yourself due overworking or maybe go insane for not sleeping. Is what this ignorant writer says

Glad I'm not the only one. My theory is that they're going to reveal something that they'll get a lot of shit for, so they're trying to build a rapport with users now to soften the blow.

Fallout from The TPBT Incident continues to this very day.

Subject [L] had previously judged that a replacement chapter was closer to a re-upload of the now infamous TPBT's instead and proceeded to remove said chapters, much to the consternation of eager readers who had missed out the first time around.

Attempting to let the evidence speak for itself via "A picture is worth a thousand words", two comparison pages were posted, but as both chapters (TPBT and AA) had long been wiped, it is unknown if this will convince the skeptical masses.

At first, this post led me to believe that the (re)uploader was trying to play dumb regarding the plagiarism. But I think he's actually saying "at least I tried to reupload Bunman's work for you readers." (I'm giving the benefit of the doubt here. If the reuploader actually doesn't see a problem with his upload, then what the hecking heck is he thinking?)

I still don't get how some of those dudes blame the mods for this. The rules here are generally fair, and they're generally enforced fairly. The only person responsible for Bunman's removed chapters is Bunman himself. That's just the way it is.
