Okay now that it’s over, maybe I’ll finally give it a shot. Hopefully it doesn’t derail like the author‘s other work.

I happened to turn 30 this year, and I've coincidentally picked this up. My experiences aren't quite the same, yet still theres a feeling I can relate to. Thanks for trailblazing for me, Millennials.

The dynamic between Hajime and Emi was so good, but i feel it was somewhat ruined by the unnecessary amount of drama, moments where they ignored each other for days, Emi hiding the fact that she played Magic, hiding her relationship with Hajime (that whole distance thing at school was so annoying), the move to a different city, love triangle issues involving Yakumo and even Lou, and those damned 12 years apart. I don't hate drama, but i think it was too much for a manga that was always at its best when it didn't resort to that sort of thing, still, it was a very good read.

Having sat on the ending for a few months, it's incredible how much the ending sours the story.
