The art looks different on this one. Looks rushed asf, like the artist had to submit something on a last minute deadline. Don't know what happened.
And the time between each chapter is kinda big though.

Well... since this is an adaptation of a WN/LN, you guys can read the source material if you don't wanna wait that long.

Dame Zabine (and she is a dame worthy of the title) is a fucking LEADER. She can motivate and she can get people in line in moments. She's good at dealing with raw recruits and her superiors alike. They don't make women like that, they just happen. Losing out on an officer like that is unacceptable, so Polidoro better get to work on training her properly. Sure, she's going to need a lot of training to smooth out her numerous edges, but she's worth it.

Polidoro seems, frankly, kind of bad at communicating with and connecting to his subordinates beyond pure strategy and tactics. Officers like Zabine can fill in that gap. You will always need to delegate, especially in armies. Hopefully, he realizes this at some point.

This manga depicts reality, no magic pure gore and huge tits, so expect those peasants dead.

I really like it when there is no magic and only justified Wrath of God.
Wasn't Faust's sword described as being enchanted? Not gonna disagree with the rest of the post, though. Even if it was, the setting is low fantasy at most, and the bulk of the work is going to be done by the crossbows, not Faust.

It honestly wouldn't even break the rest of the setting for it to be low fantasy. Mages sitting back doing services like that for pay would make sense. Easy, safe work and could probably get enough to live a decent life.

I don't have a big problem with the art (a lot seems very intentional emotive art) and the overall chapter is easy to follow, but I will say there are some small panelling sequences that are definitely kinda weird to follow

Anyways looking forward to seeing how this develops, I can't tell what type of story it'll be

Wasn't very digestible. I wish it was better.

I have mixed feelings on the writing in that I think the men should definitely be portrayed as more valuable then they are and there should be seen a cost to fielding them in war. The heavily injured boy with severe bodily wounds he got from trying to protect people would be more emotionally impactful.

This chapter by comparison to how the last chapter was felt like a tonal whiplash and the character beating the shit out of the peasants felt like a major misstep that didn't make sense.

Last chapter felt like in Mulan when they're singing "A Girl Worth Fighting For" and they come across the destroyed remains of the hun encampment. This one I'm not sure if it's meant to be comedic, inspirational or sad, and that really hurts it.

How did you think that was a boy when she's been referred to as the 'head woman' and 'she/her' for two chapters in a row? Is the chapter really hard to digest or can you just not read?
