Haruki winning as the heroine, and Murao’s as the losing heroine is already unavoidable :qq:

This chapter is the latest in a lot of chapters where the translation just seems a bit... off. Like the Japanese is using a lot of Japanese subtleties that don't translate well to English. The ending just kind of makes no sense. What does she mean she'll become a girl if Hayato treats her like a sister?

It feels like a 1:1 translation without trying to convey the meaning.

I'm pretty sure it's a call back to way earlier in the story, chapter 8 or whatever. When they were in that room at school and having the discussion about something, and Hayato rubbed Haruki's hair, and said that he does that to his sister, Himeko. Haruki points out that her and Himeko are different. So she's once again saying "don't treat me like your sister". But I'm not sure what it means by becoming a girl... maybe it means that if he rubs her hair, she'll break down and let out all her feelings and smother him with kisses or something? So she's admitting she loves him? Not sure.

Thanks, I'll have to go back and read that chapter.

The team member who asked us to finish this one for him was supposed to help us with the context but got busy with school and kinda dipped on us so I'm not super familiar with the rest of the story but I also don't want to just drop it and leave everyone hanging.

proofreader here: My bad, I couldn't pay much attention to this chapter. probably shouldve left a note or two in that page but for better understanding you could read it as, "if you treat me like your sister right now, this tomboyish side of me (she used the pronoun boku here which if u dont know is now a days mostly used by tomboys and teenage boys) will become a real girl." if you don't get what real girl means here in this context here, shes trying to convey that she will start to like Hayato like a real girl instead of their friendship where Hayato used to think she was a boy.
hope this explains it!

Yeah ok that makes a lot of sense. The question is, does Hayato understand what she means? And if so... what does he want? Their relationship has been in flux for a while... wonder if they'll ever figure out what they want.
