What I remember that the demon 'kakyu kind' can't be dead in that realm, and even if they die the soul just getting weak and not vanished. Kakyu, for what I remember, never dead before, that's why he's so powerful in this other world. But he just average in power scale in the origin hell.

Oh... interesting, so he isn't the top of the entire verse... good to know, I like that.

Well... it was kinda implied considering the lengths he went to get out of hell... but with the shit he pulled in the story, it had gotten a little muddied on that front.

But... he never died? In chapter 22, he remembers when he first won a fight against another devil and got jumped by their boss... he didn't die even then?

I'm not really sure, maybe that's the first one that made him not want to lose anymore. He states that the first one he's won against a demon. Learning from experience, he changed his strategy and never died again, maybe.

I am curious about something now... I understood after what some people pointed out... that Kakyu is kinda a "demon" from another world, and a different kind too when compared to the ones in this world.

author-san made a distinction between "demons" (mazoku) like COCKroach-san, and "devils" (akuma) like kakyu
