As far as I have read no. She is not the cause of the demon lord. BUT she hates her children. She loves the king and the king doesn't really love her. So she wants all the attention she can get from the king. She hates it when her children take up the kings time or are with the king. So basically the mother is trash the father is ok.

But yeah. I think her father is just bad at showing his emotions. Since it's pretty typical for the mean looking fathers to actually just be really awkward.
