Maybe this fight would look good animated, but in manga form, it's just panels of people shouting attack names and the audience being told that they're strong. It's really not engaging.
I think a fight can be engaging if it's about strategy, and seeing people unexpectedly out-think their opponent. To see some foreshadowed planning come together. But just "I'm strong!"? It's meaningless, especially in fantasy where power is arbitrary. That logic works for games but not for narratives.
At least there is emotional weight behind what Fran is doing at the end of the chapter, but all the "action" filling the majority of the chapter is a waste that tells us nothing new.
That's why I really want this to get back to Fran adventuring about, making friends, and learning to do new things. I really feel like isekai stories go off the rails as soon as they become about fighting a big bad. They're exciting at first because the main character is exploring all kinds of new abilities and the reader thinks of all the potential, but then it's just "oh no their numbers are bigger than my numbers" and it becomes a slog.
