My understanding is that the children born to Farisian high nobility and vassal states were considered tainted, presumably because Farisians believed their blood to be superior to that of the "lesser states".Want to clarify about the facts in this chapter
Does tainted blood refers to royal family of the conquered kingdoms, or the Farisian noble families those royalties are married to?
And, Cornelia is granddaughter of the Faris king, so the part about her having succession right for Faris crown is easy to understand.
But how come she is said to inherit the throne to so many kingdoms? Even if her mother is of a tainted blood, she would have only got the heritage of the other royal family her parents are married to, isn't it?
Agreed, there should be so many other ways to avoid Scarlet execution - if father told her it was Faris trap, she would surely understand and cooperate with some other plan like getting her married to some other kingdom farther from Faris, or create some scandal eliminating her from the throne, so many options other than giving her most cruel fate and tainting even her memory among people as despised villainess. Couldn't they even just give her to some Faris important family from the pro-peace faction, strengthening that faction?Behold the biggest coward of the series, it was Scarlet's mom the one with the pants in the relationship btw.
How so? Isn't she dead many years before?Behold the biggest coward of the series, it was Scarlet's mom the one with the pants in the relationship btw.
I don't get it. Then who was died in lily's flashback about Scarlett's relative dying before?Agreed, there should be so many other ways to avoid Scarlet execution - if father told her it was Faris trap, she would surely understand and cooperate with some other plan like getting her married to some other kingdom farther from Faris, or create some scandal eliminating her from the throne, so many options other than giving her most cruel fate and tainting even her memory among people as despised villainess. Scarlet's execution seems like it could be used as pretext for war as well. Faris could get the proof that Scarlet was falsely executed, which should be easy considering Cecilia knew full well she was innocent, create claim that she was executed because Abelbide rulers discovered she was from Faris family and cruelly murdered Faris' potential queen, bam, invasion. Living Scarlet could at least not want to be Faris puppet, dead Scarlet can be whatever Fair wants her to be.
And it seems they didn't even do shit with those 10 years they got by sacrificing Scarlet. Faris agent is fucking crown princess, assassinating prisoners before they spill and letting enemy roam free at the castle, from which Faris prince and potential ally gets kidnapped, the country is as much shitshow, if not worse, as it was decade ago, and on the brink of getting invaded again. Without Scarlet's ghost saving MC and trying to solve the conspiracy with her, Abelbide would probably already be doomed. What a fucking useless shit of a father.
