Even during earlier meetings Hamsworth looked like he saw/felt Scarlet. There was even this one scene where he was looking directly behind Connie, exactly where Scarlet was floating.
But yeah, he probably wishes for their happiness too. He's such a fun character and it's really good to see good-natured noble living the dream life. He probably sees Constance as this refreshing, pure girl, so different from rotten nobles around him.

This chapter was really a roller-coaster of fun faces, Connie being Connie and Scarlet being tsun. But I really expected Constance to try emulating Scarlet when she proposed the deal or during the "interrogation". It would have been comedy gold, so much that even Scarlet would be embarrassed.

Ya know, Scarlet really needed a Connie when she was alive, to keep her a bit from overdoing it...

Question is, if Scarlet and Connie would've gotten along at all if Scarlet wasn't a ghost. I doubt it lol

@Shrimperor I think it depends on the writer. As a child, maybe it would have been good to see, the very brash and overzealous Scarlet with the timid but quite stallwart Connie. With the current age dynamic, it would be a bit of rocky start at first, but we kinda see Connie truly believes there is a lot of in anyone.
