They literally should have killed them and then MC could have disposed of the bodies with his flying. The destroy all the records and the office.

Came to agree with everyone talking about the weakness sin comment. Feels extremely disjointed next to the preceding 'please save me' arc.

I think I like it more when their opponent isn't supernatural so I liked the chapter.

This is just based on intuition from watching yakuza themed movies but based on how the dude with the scars is talking to the other members it makes me think his musclehead underling isn't calling him "big brother" in the way you'd refer to a relative of yours but "兄貴” "aniki" in that way the yakuza use to refer to a higher rank. I might be totally wrong though, I'm not a TL and haven't even checked out the RAWs.

@Dinkelberg don't forget that girl come from Family who has huge influence on JP government... (well probably decreased a lot right now after the daughter's revenge... lol)
seeing those people didn't know her family, probably those guys not 'big' enough to know the power behind the governments...

like you said, Yakuzas is already weak compared to the past, they probably still have heavy weaponry, but its probably not that much and only few remaining, meanwhile police and army got many of them on their weapon storages,
but that if the governments really want to wipe out entire yakuza families, since you know that not gonna happen with solid evidences, yakuzas got many connection on officials or police to erase their tracks after all...

@obsidianpassion you dont kill people for owing you money, you will want to make a profit out of them or you'll go broke. dead people cant pay debts. and yakuzas operate on territories mostly, skipping town will leave other clients free

The Yakuza power is not really muscle ... its connections, they are very involved in politics (in fact they offered relief in the 95 Kobe and 11 Tohoku earthquakes) and these guys are really small fries, the big boys are connected to heavier stuff.
The government is in many ways complacence with then not only because they are involved with politicians but also because they are useful in other ways, of course for stuff like this ... its all bark, they know that if the police gets involved things turn sour, she is right that the Yakuza doesnt want to fight the police, its a war they will lose and simply will take the loss.

But people should not take this serious really, its a manga ... and also youcultural they arent exactly always shown in a bad light, its a complicated relationship.

@MrMichael No you're almost certainly right, he appears to be the head of this "(Yakuza) family" though it's a very small one and likely as Abeno said, a "branch of a branch" that has no real power to back them up. The only reason that the MC and Abeno would have any reason to "worry" is if their curb-stomping of them pisses off the main family, and it's likely not a major one so it's not an issue for them, but it is an issue for civilians.
@Liquidxlax It's probably just as simple as what the MC says, that's not the law, but people tend to not know the laws, even the ones that might be relevant to them such as inheritance laws, so if someone comes and threatens you for the debt, you probably don't know any better. Based on a quick Google search I did while typing this, in Japan, if you renounce your inheritance within 3 months of the deceased's death, you don't have to pay the debt but you also don't get any of the deceased's assets, which if they were in such a massive amount of debt, are practically worthless anyway.

A crybaby Fmc is much better than a cheeky whor*,there's difference between bravery and cheeky, that albeno-senpai or whatever is just a ____.The mc is the worst of all,no self-character,just a pu*sy, even after returning from isekai'd, he's being pushed around by a shitty character female, even that twin-tail is better than that albeno-senpai,And that albeno-senpai,mc powered up her,now she's being all cocky

Pissing off the main family? More like
Them attcking the main family because of the connection with this branch of a branch gang.

Abeno declared her family name cuz of the rule " if the underground declared war against an Abeno, the goverment nor the police can't interfere in any way" because it's an underground thing and nothing to do with the normal people.

Now that there's nothing that will interfere them, Abeno can take down the gang from that small group going up to every branch until she gets to the main one while stealing all those gang's money, one by one. This is also the reason why Lela also wants to join cus it's a free for all gold rush for them.

“Shit, I’m strapped for cash. Guess I’ll go take down a Yakuza group real quick.”
