Why’s Tilty so mad though? What is she expecting Anis to do
The only reason the two of them are friends is because they got together and said Fuck the nobles, let's do whatever the hell we want.

Anis has abandoned the very premise of their friendship, for lofty ideals and duties that won't make her happy, and will arguably still make the kingdom suck anyway. It is inefficient, dishonest to her desires, dishonest to her friends, and she will have to bow down and cater to the assholes who made all of this necessary.

This story is more political than few I've read, it's not easy around nobility, especially after a revolt or few.

It's gonna be a hard road, better strap in...

IMO a simpler solution would have been following the literal title.
Let Anis remain not in line for the throne and the current King and Queen go for more royal babies. (Could be for show or as a contingency plan.) Anis can just quietly develop the plans but this time publishing them or quietly distributing them to commoners to allow for a silent coup from the commoners. Pulling the rugs of power and influence straight from under the nobles that wanted to control the royal family.

You can't have it both ways, either the prospect of Anis as a ruler is seen as completely unacceptable by all sides (in which case Algard's entire stupid stunt was baseless) or Anis does have a certain amount of support she can build a powerbase off of (in which case she just has to prove she has what it takes and probably make some concessions/kiss some asses to get at least some of the magic purity faction to accept her). And let's be real, if the king and queen don't have the power to appoint their firstborn child as heir (again) the whole country is halfway lost anyway.
