So I went and took a quick glimpse through the WN, mainly to see when/how they get to the opening scene.

Later tonight, monsters attack and the brother get poisoned.

Since it just got past midnight, MC bet on the time when the game reset his once a day thing and used miracle to summon a traveling medicine peddler + also inform the sister about it.

The peddler's POV is that his family have always been traveling peddler type, and just then he saw a pillar of light and felt the call from it, he chose to go and here he is.

After treating the brother, he also points out there's an abandoned mine nearby they can use as shelter (it's like less than 30 min walk from where the current location is)

And because I'm sucker for spoiler, I took a glimpse at the ending (<-so,yeah)

Something about MC having just defeated a fallen God.

And he's now being congratulated by Goddess who's the boss of said fallen God before he fell.

She's offering to hire MC to be a beta tester for the game full time, with salary and all that (Which more or less doing the same he was just doing but now with getting paid)....

I think it was more of he led his people to win against the evil god through the game, not that he himself beat the evil god.

This story strangely warms my heart.

We have a god that isn't half as capable as his followers believe, and villagers that are actually inspiring a man driven into a dead end in life to become better. I understand the feeling of being strangely attached to NPCs all too well too.
