His working hours and the evil temptation event are going to coincide isn't it? That's gonna really suck, he's just getting used to working and helping his family out but the event in the game is going to need him at the same time.
I think it will end with an axe to the head.
if not then it ends with an epic battle between the "good" and the "bad" gods and all of their servants on an apocalyptic level.
To put it in with some context to the manga, it's like 3 arcs ahead.
The latest arc just stared in the last two novel chapters, and in the manga, we probably only have in the next 1-4 chapter until the next arc that is about the Temptation of Evil gods.
( We already knew this is coming, so it's not really a spoiler...and the chapter number is just my educated guess from reading the novel )
I made an almost entirely spoiler-free list here of the arcs. 😅
Almost because if you actually know the references, you might be able to piece together some parts of what is going to happen.
so I'm going to use the spoiler tag just to be safe.
They won't actually spoil much you did not already know... but are some fun references for the people who know what is going to happen. ( and if not, they can hint at some spoilers )
( granted this is just my personal way of dividing the story into arcs, I don´t think there are official once... just what Volume the chapters come from )
bonus points if you get all the references I used in the list. 😎 If you want clear text spoilers for any of the arcs, I can make them for ya and explain why I named the arcs as I did. 😘
almost entirely spoiler-free list here...
Arc 1: MC gets the game and Introduction to the characters...404 puns not found.
Arc 2: Androgynous elves and where to find them. ( we are still here, but arc 3 might start soon in the next 1-4 chapter depending on how much we get to know about why the MC was late home. )
Arc 3: Attack on villages. ( the following arc starts with the Evil god's temptation itself and is about what happens directly afterwards. )
Arc 4: Carol in Wonderland: Madness Returns.
Arc 4.5 Yoshio Jackson and the Lightning Thief.
Arc 5 Fate Art Online.

Haha, ty very much for the detailed explanation, bro!
I really appreciate it! I will give the manga more chapters before deciding if i wanna check the novel out or not, since i already enjoy the manga.
But how would you rate the manga adaptation of the novel?
So far it's done a pretty good job IMO.
It hasn't changed or removed a whole lot of the story, but it has added some stuff that wasn't part of the web novel I read.
There are only two things that is anything substantial.
The most obvious change is that you never really learned in detail what happened to the older city other then it was attacked by an extra huge and intelligent horde.
So the chapters about how the old city got attacked weren't part of the novel.
The other thing is that there should be
a pair of twins that I belive joined before the attack, but they haven't shown up yet( ofc I could be remembering wrong too )
Its its not super important for the story if" the spoiler "doesn´t show up until after the attack because...
They were of a none human race IIRC, so they felt alienated and stayed by themselves at first, and only joined the bigger group to survive the first attack.
They were good at hunting and scavaging for food, but they only got really important after the first attack and their biggest plot point is...
That they found a secret exit in the dwarven mines that saved the lives of the other villagers during the 2nd month´s attack ( not the first one we are about to see in the manga )
Outside of that, there are only a few minor changes, so i would say its a pretty good adaptation.
The minor changes are by far outweighed by the extra content we have been given...
