Seems like he caught the look of the game during one of their trips to work.

It is likely that he also got different directions from Yoshio, who is a God, and as many say, blondie is most likely an Evil God, who the devs gave a different goal to achieve (aka world domination or something evil).

Also it must be noted that he was possibly given the game a fair bit before Yoshio, and it is likely that the original raid on the characters' village could have been his doing.
