Honestly for an axed manga and unresolved ending this is pretty good. I mean there's a lot still left hanging, but ends on a nice positive note of growth and implies that the world is still moving forward. I at least prefer it to the rushed endings that try to wrap every little thing up in a neat bow in a SINGLE standard length chapter.

Edit: Reading the comments the ending actually sounds much better than the original volume 2 ending. It's actually a really good move on the Manga author's part not throwing in such a major status quo change (mid series shake up) and cliff hanger at the "end". Though even if the manga hadn't been axed I wouldn't like that plot point. I came to read the series as a fairly interesting isekai-like with a character focused plot approach. All I needed was to see the MC have major growth as a person and in their relationships as a result of watching over the probably real-life villagers in what would otherwise be the world's most advanced Sims game. And I got that. So I'm pretty happy.

That felt like a rushed ending...
I feel like it could've potentially gone on for a bit longer.
And the art was great !

I wonder, is there any info on WHY it got axed? Like not enough self insert for Japan audience? Artist health issue? Disagreement with editor?

Good a premature ending as any, I suppose.

While I realize it'd probably be against the rules of the game, I was kinda hoping for him to thwart the evil god's temptation by just grabbing the baddie's phone and redirecting the troops, or something.

I'm starting to think while Hirukuma has some interesting story concepts, they just don't know how to keep it going or end them because between this and Reborn as a Vending Machine the endings aren't satisfactory.

Most likely, they didn’t want the manga to finish so that you would be enticed to read the light novel. This makes this part a fairly good place to end the manga while still keeping some mystery so you would want to get the light novels.
