@tamerlane
That’s why I hate all of this positivity nonsense. It’s so easy to see the patterns of a decaying society whenever people start worshipping literally nothing, but whenever I point it out I’m called a “crazed conspiracy theorist, Uncle Tom white supremacist, and a Trumper.”

It’s easier for people to cope and avoid reality if they can labeled you as “irrelevant” by dismissing you via a socially polite way of saying “fuck off.”

I wish there was a way to break the NPC coding on most people...

@m0nst3r
This is by design. The “lAnGuAGe Is AlWaYs EvOlViNG” crowd is aware of the fact that by eroding the definitions of words, you can erase a language and replace it with another.

Makes it easier to project accusations onto others by ousting apparent “wrongthink.”

Devolution of language is step one of cultural erosion in order to enact revolutions aimed at targeting the wealthy and educated.

It’s Communism 101.

@Tamerlane; Biden is sitting in office on borrowed time and he knows it.

For all the Ree-ing about Trump Supporters and Trumpism it's more likely that some of the Antifa types are going to launch any kind of attack.
Granted I can only hope the current fascist state forming continue to be idiots and advocating drone striking their own people.
That's a surefire way to ensure you have popular support /s

@M0NST3R It's only a matter of time before they come out and just flat out admit the election was rigged based on that Times article, and when that happens, expect all hell to break to loose.

Also, on an unrelated note, funny how 2spiritcherokeeprincess is weirdly quiet about AOC now that it's basically confirmed she lied with her timeline and story being complete BS.

@Tamerlane I both get and don't get the reasoning behind AOCs stunt there.

If you had come out and said "I was worried that I was going to be attacked because of how much heinous shit people have threatened me with online" and left it at that, it would have done the exact same thing as her story but be significantly easier to defend.

Adding the bit about the man in the hallway screaming "Where is she?" was incredibly stupid and almost seemed like it was planned by someone else. Probably her PR team

It was. Saying you received death threats on Twitter but also refusing to post proof is a fast way to garner sympathy by "beating the 'alt-right' trolls." Her team most likely thought it would work IRL and that Twitter equals real life.

Her poll numbers in her district are atrocious, so I'm sure they thought it would help.

Protip: That shit doesn't fly when you have the Secret Service, the FBI, the CIA and the NSA all ready and eager to find said "trolls" on your behalf.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: Twitter has a stranglehold on corporations and politicians in the US. If Twitter demands it, they'll get whatever they want.

Sad reality is that its not old people bending the knee to Twitter, its the same people who use it that are.

@tamerlane @m0nst3r
Antifa hates Biden more than Trump because they can't properly use him as a scapegoat. Odds are they'll do something extraordinarily stupid, the media and the government will defend them, the public will say enough is enough and probably do something equally stupid.

That Times article is probably going to be used as casus belli for most people to lose any and all faith in the government.

@wowfucktron Not before the government tries to pull of a Patriot Act 2.0.

When you got Ex-CIA in the press trying to justify using anti-Terror tactics used abroad in the US unchallenged by anyone in media you have a severe issue of elitist tomfuckery.

Conservatives and neocons are gonna realize the hard way that military and police are just going to follow their orders when that happens.

Twitter has a stranglehold on idiots who want to be stranglehold.

Called it. Western media now has a new sex toy to play with: Mori. Probably gonna bitch and moan about him for at least a few weeks until either they find a new toy or he commits sudoku. I get this bizarre feeling that if he had said that about men, no one would have cared. Well, now that Trump's gone, the circus media needs to look for other materials, even ones overseas.

Jesus Christ, we’re now canceling other country’s leaderships...

Twitter is the most powerful company on the planet now, this is an undeniable fact. They can indirectly make geopolitical decisions centered around who gets to say what and who’s voice gets amplified the loudest depending on employee politics.

Jack Dorsey, CEO and cofounder of Twitter, is the most powerful man on the planet, in my opinion.

The whole website needs to be regulated into the ground, no, actually all social media does.

The Silicon Valley tech industry monopolies are 100x more powerful than the old robber barons. All of them need to be broken up.

His comment had some truth in it, as my life experience would account for...

i’m more of a libertarian but i definitely do think something’s gotta be done about social media. it’s not because people have different opinions that me it’s just that social, especially twitter, is a hub for really dumb ideas to get spread around and it makes it absolutely worse that the people behind twitter prop those ideas up and make them seem more popular than they are. it also sucks that whenever big tech gets in trouble for something they basically get off scott free in court because it’s nothing but a bunch of old people asking them questions.

According to this kind of logic, white people are inherently superior.

MODS!!!! 2spirit is a white supremacist!!!! DAE she’s an Auntie Tom!?!!?!

Learn when to lick your wounds and come back with a better argument than “gender studies interpretations on gender power dynamics.”

Women have more power than men in society, it’s just not obvious to you because you take it all for granted because you want more than you believe you have.

>inherent power in who says what
You and the other people who regurgitate that just want an excuse to be an unapologetic racist/sexist towards anyone you deem more successful than you. All of the arguments from that school of thought come right out of apartheid era logic.

Also, aren’t you agender? Why does this matter to you so much if you don’t have a gender? Curious.

"but there is a big difference in harm between what is said about those who hold the reigns of power & those who don't"

"According to this kind of logic, white people are inherently superior."

exactly, this is literally the logic behind why you cant try animals for crimes. using the same logic on women and minorities is misogynistic and racist, they are human so treating them as if they need to be forgiven for every wrong action just because you view them as lesser makes you the bad person.

what mori said was bad, if mori was a woman and said it about men it would also be bad dont prop up a double standard just because you think women are animals that cant be held responsible for their actions.

It would be fine but she never actually engages with any of us or our arguments, and insteads just posts Yahoo News and MSNBC articles without actually reading them and then makes snide quips at us.

Yeah, that’s par the course for hugbox users.

Really the only counter action to her non engagement is just dissecting anything and everything she posts in this thread. Mansplain her into the ground ;).

The whole concept of “educating” your opposition is full blown cringe.

Imagine actually believing you can change people through force or by shaming/insulting them. Not to mention treating other people like they are nothing but children who have “the wrong social programming.”

It’s just nothing more than a display of arrogance and “tolerance.”

I'll bring up the Tao Te Ching again because I think its wisdom on this topic is one of the biggest faults with the progressive movement, and the far left in general, as it underlays the idea that morality is being used as a tool to manipulate people rather than to create a better, more content society.

49
The Master has no mind of her own.
She works with the mind of the people.

She is good to people who are good.
She is also good to people who aren't good.
This is true goodness.

She trusts people who are trustworthy.
She also trusts people who aren't trustworthy.
This is true trust.

The Master's mind is like space.
People don't understand her.
They look to her and wait.
She treats them like her own children.
57
If you want to be a great leader,
you must learn to follow the Tao.
Stop trying to control.
Let go of fixed plans and concepts,
and the world will govern itself.

The more prohibitions you have,
the less virtuous people will be.
The more weapons you have,
the less secure people will be.
The more subsidies you have,
the less self-reliant people will be.

Therefore the Master says:
I let go of the law,
and people become honest.
I let go of economics,
and people become prosperous.
I let go of religion,
and people become serene.
I let go of all desire for the common good,
and the good becomes common as grass.
58
If a country is governed with tolerance,
the people are comfortable and honest.
If a country is governed with repression,
the people are depressed and crafty.

When the will to power is in charge,
the higher the ideals, the lower the results.
Try to make people happy,
and you lay the groundwork for misery.
Try to make people moral,
and you lay the groundwork for vice.

Thus the Master is content
to serve as an example
and not to impose her will.
She is pointed, but doesn't pierce.
Straightforward, but supple.
Radiant, but easy on the eyes.

Taoism is all about wu wei, or nonaction. It's often characterized as passivity or lack of willpower, but that couldn't be further from the truth. Taoism is all about knowing when to act and when to let nature govern itself, and allow things to unfold as they would naturally and waiting for a solution to arise rather than rushing in carelessly and making the situation worse for everyone. Rather than forcing people to change to your will and trying to make them adhere strictly to your prescribed notions, values, and prospectives, it is better to let things naturally unfold. In a sense, it's the most opposed philosophy to things like Marxism and social engineering because it doesn't believe you can change the nature within people or expect everyone to conform to a collectivist sense of values, but simply to let the path show itself and run its course, regardless of our human judgement of right or wrong or our theories. @wowfucktron

>inb4 quoting a terrorist
Ted Kaczynski says this about leftists:

9. The two psychological tendencies that underlie modern leftism we call “feelings of inferiority” and “oversocialization”. Feelings of inferiority are characteristic of modern leftism as a whole, while oversocialization is characteristic only of a certain segment of modern leftism; but this segment is highly influential.

10. By “feelings of inferiority” we mean not only inferiority feelings in the strict sense but a whole spectrum of related traits; low self-esteem, feelings of powerlessness, depressive tendencies, defeatism, guilt, self-hatred, etc. We argue that modern leftists tend to have some such feelings (possibly more or less repressed) and that these feelings are decisive in determining the direction of modern leftism.

11. When someone interprets as derogatory almost anything that is said about him (or about groups with whom he identifies) we conclude that he has inferiority feelings or low self-esteem. This tendency is pronounced among minority rights activists, whether or not they belong to the minority groups whose rights they defend. They are hypersensitive about the words used to designate minorities and about anything that is said concerning minorities. The terms “negro”, “oriental”, “handicapped” or “chick” for an African, an Asian, a disabled person or a woman origi- nally had no derogatory connotation. “Broad” and “chick” were merely the feminine equivalents of “guy”, “dude” or “fellow”. The negative connotations have been attached to these terms by the activists themselves. Some animal rights activists have gone so far as to reject the word “pet” and insist on its replacement by “animal companion”. Leftish anthropologists go to great lengths to avoid saying anything about primitive peoples that could conceivably be interpreted as negative. They want to replace the word “primitive” by “nonliterate”. They seem almost paranoid about anything that might suggest that any primitive culture is inferior to our own. (We do not mean to imply that primitive cultures ARE inferior to ours. We merely point out the hyper sensitivity of leftish anthropologists.)

12. Those who are most sensitive about “politically incorrect” terminology are not the average black ghettodweller, Asian immigrant, abused woman or disabled person, but a minority of activists, many of whom do not even belong to any “oppressed” group but come from privileged strata of society. Political correctness has its stronghold among university professors, who have secure employment with comfortable salaries, and the majority of whom are heterosexual white males from middle- to upper-middle-class families.

13. Many leftists have an intense identification with the problems of groups that have an image of being weak (women), defeated (American Indians), repellent (homosexuals) or otherwise inferior. The leftists themselves feel that these groups are inferior. They would never admit to themselves that they have such feelings, but it is precisely because they do see these groups as inferior that they identify with their problems. (We do not mean to suggest that women, Indians, etc. ARE inferior; we are only making a point about leftist psychology.)

14. Feminists are desperately anxious to prove that women are as strong and as capable as men. Clearly they are nagged by a fear that women may NOT be as strong and as capable as men.

15. Leftists tend to hate anything that has an image of being strong, good and successful. They hate America, they hate Western civilization, they hate white males, they hate rationality. The reasons that leftists give for hating the West, etc. clearly do not correspond with their real motives. They SAY they hate the West because it is warlike, imperialistic, sexist, ethnocentric and so forth, but where these same faults appear in socialist countries or
in primitive cultures, the leftist finds excuses for them, or at best he GRUDGINGLY admits that they exist; whereas he ENTHUSIASTICALLY points out (and often greatly exaggerates) these faults where they appear in Western civilization. Thus it is clear that these faults are not the leftist’s real motive for hating America and the West. He hates America and the West because they are strong and successful.

Uncle Ted is a genius and I wish people would’ve listened to him.
