@Digi-Lib
you're still making the same argument these guys make about politics in shows, sports, movies etc.
False equivalency; there's no direct comparison to an online forum except for other online forums. However, more accurate comparisons than the one above can still exist. There's a reason why so many people tell stories of family dinners falling apart from political discussions nowadays. Same thing with the hypothetical cheese lady; regular people can control what they converse about, and recognize when certain topics are inappropriate to broach.
all Zephyrus did was explain why the update was late. Then people started crying about politics being put in a thread. It depends on the person.
And when thousands of people see an announcement with mention of such an event, it's no wonder that some of them comment on it. This exact context has already been explained to you in my first response.
The manner in which you portray those who understand the gratuitousness of unprovoked divisive speech as 'whiny' speaks volumes, giving the impression that you're uninterested in attempting to see where said people are coming from in the first place. I don't believe it would be far-fetched to reason that your combativeness towards this facet of conversational awareness wouldn't be nearly as strong if you didn't choose to engage and surround yourself with kudos goblins.
But I digress. It's evident that we'll just have to agree to disagree, so I'm at least finished. Respond if you're insistent on adding anything I guess, and have a nice day. Also, change your profile pic.
