Firstly the amount of text leftists memes have make even me shake my head, but more to the point, Mr and Mrs Potatohead were a pretty gender neutral brand as it is and removing gendered language seems to mark a wider trend of depersonalization until everything is in this bland neutral state of inoffensiveness. It’s Orwellian the controlling of language at this point to remove anything that is individualistic and not preassigned into some amorphous box that lacks any discernible characteristics so it can appeal to everyone and offend no one.

Unrelated, but Ppetty sure you also don’t want to call anyone “not secure in their gender identity,” because if a conservative said that, they would definitely be accused of transphobia. (And they’d probably be correct.)


Anyway, the magic wand thing comes from an Obama quote where he said he would need a magic wand to bring back manufacturing jobs, and subsequently did

Not to mention that the idea of a magic wand came out of the Middle Ages and has nothing really to do with Paganism or anything opposed to Christianity (It was more tied to King Solomon and mysticism/occultism) until Gerald Gardner founded Wiccanism. (Which is bullshit, like most religion.)

The reason I picked those two was because James Buchanan was known for doing nothing to help the hyperpolarization of the nation during his time, and thereby making the civil war inevitable as he was generally considered an inept leader that sat back as tensions escalated. Sulla, is the opposite but is arguably more terrifying, as he lead the anti populist movement that was started by the Brother Gracchus (who were very similar to Trump) and generally used his power to make the elites of society maintain power by using military force to occupy the capital of Rome and change it’s constitution to make it benefit himself and his party, leading to the end of the Republic as he set precedents for Caesar to follow.

If Biden packs the courts or tries to extend any power, expect him to go down a similar path because the next man in office is going to use the same tactics to ensure he gains just as much if not more power.

Whether it leads to civil war remains to be seen but we’re all frogs in a massive boiling pot as the tensions and rhetoric keeps escalating more and more as time goes on and our government and large corporations become less and less accountable, it really feels like we’re in a massive powder keg.

Trump was a Narcissist.

American culture sucks and doesn’t matter no ones culture matters in the Grand scheme and shouldn’t even be a matter for discussion in politics. Preserving culture shouldn’t be done as that defeats the very meaning of it.

Allowing every one to move to where ever they want to is good and immigrants help to strengthen economic systems if the system to get in is simple enough and public is open to integration

Immigrants don’t steal jobs. Artificial intelligences do. Doctors already being replaced with system like Watson. Automatic coffe machines are already being rolled out. All jobs should provide a leviable wage other wise it shouldn’t be a job as in it should be above the poverty line.

The reason new workers are having a hard time finding jobs isn’t that their picky it’s that their so few jobs and that the number of jobs isn’t growing all their left with is jobs flipping burgers for less then enough to survive.

Collages were ruined by being allowed to privatized with government backed loans which means they can simply charge what they want

America isn’t the greatest country it’s a horribly unfair system like most other places in the old world of pre development. America is being left behind by the world because no one wants to spend money or wants to horde it all. China is already rising back and committing human rights violations. Europe is focusing on self improvement, and America? We’re fighting each other over because some people think a orange man is going to comeback with a secret plan and become the 19th legitimate president due to a law passed after the 18th president.

@immortalartisan the flaw with your argument is it assumes multiple things can't cause the same problem. Immigration doesn't affect the amount of available work because automation also does it is not an argument, it's deflection

Immigration means more people to consume products which means more people are needed to make more product. Automation causes this relation to break. If we are to survive long term we need to separate survival and work at some point a HUGE step forwards some form of utopia.

@hornyturtle I wasn’t arguing about that I was arguing about the people who say we should should stop all immigration. Please understand I approach as a utilitarian person with a burning passion to strive for a utopian dream with no regard for politics as obstacles which I think are simply something to be quickly stabbed subverted or disposed of and proceed past. Certainly it would be great if they could industrialize and become something like a European country as of now there are some countries which are making the transition. Immigration isn’t a solution to poverty that wasn’t what I was trying to argue I was arguing it doesn’t hurt OUR ECONOMY I hold no regard for what happens outside the boarders in this argument that scope waits until humanity is under a single government. The same thing also applies here there isn’t a reason they can be producers and consumers here. The supply of people goes up yes but also the demand for people in jobs to produce goods to profit off the increased suppply of people. Automation breaks this as human work is separating from production.
