Wow!
First!

Anyway.... "magical first meeting with the prince," GET!

Now for the hilarious send-off of her younger sister; likely to include words to the effect of: "he cheated on me; wait 'til he gets tired of your tragic ass," directed at her lil'sis

I know manga have a great incentive to haul ass because they'd get axed otherwise, but cmon. Medieval fantasy and doing a tracheotomy? Girl would've been hauled off by the guards for being a crazed lunatic, ESPECIALLY because she's a women, quicker than she could've blinked. At least make the setting a pseudo technologically advanced isekai or make the kingdom a matriarchy so you have SOME suspension of disbelief

They got that covered in this scene with 'open-minded' ml with authority to tell people to shut up. But the moment she has to cut open someone without the prince lending his authority, then yeah, she's off to the stakes to be burned as a witch.

One of the big reasons for such pronounced discrimination we have today, is the fact that women are generally physically weaker, and so are less able to fight back. Magic? Magic is, and I quote, “a universal equaliser”. Add in the most likely gentle female saints, compared to meathead heroes (rarely does history portray strong people positively, as the population needs to stay down, and as I said, men generally have stronger musculature), and you got equally.

*Correction: I went to check my notes to find where the info about the source of discrimination came from to remind myself, and it’s NOT a FACT, BUT is instead a THEORY.

Princes aren't aren't immune to being considered delusional. Even more so considering it's extremely public and the second your public image as royalty tanks, you're livelihood is at stake. The decision isn't even treated like it has any gravity, he's just "let this person cook" without the impact this would have on your status and the kingdom. Something like, "Yea if you tell the prince you know something then he'll let you stab someone lol", would immedieatly make the rounds regardless of outcome. We have a biased view because we KNOW that what she is doing is helpful, they DON'T, and going for a shot in the dark in this situation is just straight up insane as a person of power.

The reason WHY there's a gender divice is irrelevant. We can assume it to be a patriarchical man focused society because we see the prince have such massive authority over his followers and the people around them and because he was bethrothed to the daughter of a countess. (If women had more power in this society, why would a countess be the next of line in the throne).

I mean, yeah, but there's also princes that cucked a man's wife in broad daylight, baron's son that executed a peddler for bogus charges, count's mistress's second cousin's lover's roommates who slapped a commoner in busy town square. They're not immune to being considered delulu, but what they're gonna do? Risk being executed by a delulu with an army? lol

If it wasn't for the synopsis on this manga's page stating otherwise, I'd be super concerned about Cecil falling under the Actually An Asshole But The Story Never Shows That Side trope. Between Kiara mentioning that she's only read a part of the story before the isekai and notes it as "melodramatic misery" and it being a recurring thing in other otome (or just general female-led isekais), it would've been eyerolling to see.

Anyway, I'm not really sure why the first chapter wasn't just most of these three combined, cause I'm now intrigued as to where the story could go from here instead of wading through backstory spiels. It'd be funny if it turns out like the Cinderella story exactly, and she somehow ends up at the ball thanks to divine intervention with some animal help.

It reminds of that one manga where healer still need to learn basic biology, human anatomy, and medical science. You can't attach severed limb without the knowledge of which part connected to which part.

I can't seems to remember the title. Too many healer manga out there.

Nuance in the comments. Maybe we aren't the target demographic with how they're telling the isekai foreigner story

I got curious too see what happens next and thought to check out if there was a source web or light novel; turns out it is a manga original.

This does feel better than the first chapter, now that the light tone has been set. Kinda looking forward to more adhoc/frontier medicine.

The prince's aide is quite a prick. I reckon he's not alone in his narrow-minded stupidity in the kingdom, though. Apparently there's no research and development going on in the healing arts in the country. If someone dies despite a healer following the usual protocol, the healers' community isn't wondering why the patient died. They will just note it was the patient's destiny. Case closed. Typically such a situation wouldn't exist only in a single field of life/professions. I imagine the whole kingdom is extremely stagnant, with no progress being made anywhere.
