I noticed a lot of people pointing out Beware of the Brothers and Viridescent Crown being similar to Cains lust for Aria, but firstly I just want to say I haven't read Beware of the Brothers but I'm quite fond of Viridescent Crown despite it being a bit weird for me at first. I'm going to just point out Cain isn't in love with Aria he's only lusting after her based on his very few interactions with her just because she's stunning.
In the case of Viridescent Crown neither saw each other has siblings and nor did they spend the time together as siblings to form at least a familial idea or atmosphere, kinda like childhood acquaintances if anything, and everyone around them acknowledged that, the only reason it isn't "weird" is exactly that. They aren't related by blood and they have no familial relations relationship wise, or any ties like that, the female lead is in the family registry that's all. I also thought about how they'd find a solution on getting married and being together and all that since all the complications that could come with that, and ended up realizing that everything I said earlier about their relationship is exactly why they can be together and it works because spoiler
the female lead is removed from the family registry
and a series of things happen for the female lead and male lead to end up together yknow all that jazz.
From what I have seen from the little snip bits on instagram and what little bits I've heard Beware of the Brothers is the one that is similarly icky to Cains lust for Aria, but honestly worse considering they grow up together in a familial environment where they should view eachother as siblings and I'm honestly confused on how they end up together based on that. Although I'm unsure as how they ended up together.
Moral of the story personally I think Viridescent Crown is okay and with how they deal with that ordeal it was done quite well, although it could've been avoided from a literary point of view since they could've chose to go about it differently but have the same result since ti's all about writing at the end of the day. Beware of the Brothers gives me a very very bad impression and I'm so confused how the author is the same and takes place in the same universe as Who made me a Princess, but then again Spoon changed quite a bit going as far to even remove the third love interest from Who made me a Princess that is a character from Beware of the Brothers, which both take place in the same universe. Honestly Spoon enhanced the story based off of that information lol, since authors do seem to have a pattern and keep the same patterns in their writing.
I myself am surprised I liked Viridescent Crown so much, since that has the same author as I'm a child of this house or by the other title I belong to house Castielo, since I absolutely despise that story. I think I just have a problem with the writers decisions but can't deny that I liked the manhwa of Viridescent Crown, perhaps it's because of the artists/art or something I don't know haha. Though the author did mess up something very badly in Viridescent Crown and they had to go back and change it, everyone was very angry with it. Basically here's what happened if you're interested:
Theres a point in the story the crown prince I think kidnaps the female lead and gangbangs her with some other people, basically effectively gang raping her until the male lead comes to save her, and she get's traumatized over it, they author went back and changed it to them threatening her until the male lead comes to save her but she still seems to be effected about it since she is a bit touchy with those topics. Although this is out of context and I want you as a reader to remember context is very important and can change everything, I find readers jump to conclusions a lot without reading it and judge it... Which is something that happened with The Abandoned Empress... Which is an entirely different debate.
Lastly I think at the end of the day this chapters comments are really irking me, because it's reminding me of a lot of things I disagree or agree on, mostly that last spoiler thingy I made which has a note at the end where it reminds me of my views on the whole whos redeemable and who isn't timelines, which I think people tend to have differing opinions on with me. Generally I just don't understand how someone can associate two different timelines with each other when- Ah I'm literally telling myself as I write this to be vague or to the point so nobody asks because this is too damn long and if I do incite an argument I don't have to say something that I regret in a way where I worded it wrong or it came across wrong. I want my point to come across properly if I do talk about it basically lmao.
LAST LAST LAST THING!!! THANK YOU FOR THE CHAPTER!!!
As someone who has step siblings and a stepdad this creeps me out.And i am not coming from this as someone who sees step family in the same light as blood family,i still am more naturally closer to my little sister but i am close to my step sisters too and i see them as a part of my family anyway, the mere fact that someone can fall in love with their step sibling,or lust after them,is so creepy to me T.T
Let's just say that it's thanks to Annie that Aria made it far in life. If Annie was a noble at birth she would have been the one to spread gossip for the high noble circles
I think the most disgusting thing is that he's lusting after her this time because she fits his "pure/innocent" lady type instead of a more mature seductress vibe like in the past. Really gross
@Mongri i don't know much about VC but BOTB is really weird to me because i went into it expecting wholesome familial bonds like Athy and Claude had and got the exact opposite of that so i dropped it,imo it's even weirder that she looks really similar to their dead sister
Mielle looks innocent, but she is classist and sexist. Her old fashion is incompatible with the working class business women and thinks they should stay at home. Even their husband can't fathom expanding their businesses without their wives. And even though she has kept Oscar from her, she still sees her step sister as an eyesore, even though Aria hasn't done anything to her.
Yes! I finally know how to use the spoiler tag! Thanks to everyone! (≧▽≦)
If anyone asks how does Cain bring ruin to the Roscent family name well
he's a terrible businessman
Anyway I'm the next few chapters you might be familiar with other manhwas and manhua in regards of who get the receiving end of this case
Emma - Colline the maid from the duchess's 50 tea recipes.
Veri - Madame mesala from iris lady with a smartphone
Mielle in the very end is literally Su Mingyue from cheating men must die
Sorry every time I see his full name I start busting out laughing
"...Asterope."

I really admire how quick Aria is on the uptake. Cain's disgusting behavior and the emotions she feels from it is quicky turned around to her advantage. If I were in her place, I would definitely be creeped out and wary of him. For her to be able to quickly see the advantage in that is very cool. In some ways, her revenge feels like a way to cope with her situation.
