[*]she clings to him and wants to go to a love hotel with him (a person she just met). She says she hasn't been in a place like that before but that might as well be a lie (especially considering the other example I've given from ch.20)
She clings to him as a result of his clear self-doubt and in response to him saying that he wants to walk her to the station to make up for how disappointing he is. Her doing that is a clear communication that she doesn't find him distasteful and instead wants to be near him. They end up in a hotel district because he wants to spend more time with her so he tries to take a detour. She laughs about it and asks him where he was taking her, and then says in response that she's never been down this street either. She floats the idea of going into a hotel as a field trip, but when he says she should value herself more, she says she's happy she met him and wraps herself around him again, saying that they should head back.
If you wanna characterize her as a manipulative slutty virgin hunter, the fact that she
pulled back when he showed signs of discomfort invalidates this characterization. Nor does she say she's a virgin or unfamiliar with the idea of love hotels, but instead that she isn't familiar with
that street.
[*]she takes his phone while hugging and adds herself to his contacts (tf??? to reiterate, she just met him for the first time)
At the station, after watching the guy take a detour to a love hotel district and it being clear that he only did that because he didn't know the area but wanted to not go straight to the station, she says "we're here already," asks him if he's going the same way she is, hears him talk, again, about how he's sorry that she had to stay out late cause of him. She responds by saying she had a good time and that she's interested in him even more now. She reaches into his pocket and pulls out his phone to put it in his hand, and says that if he wants to meet her again, he should feel free to contact her. She didn't add herself to his contacts, she was already in there. This is how they arranged to meet. They have met for the first time in person, but know each other from online conversations and text messages between them.
If you want to characterize her as pushy and forcing herself onto him, her action doesn't actually cross any boundaries or place herself anywhere new in his life or contacts. It's better read as a reminder of their already existing connection and encouragement to use it whenever he wants.
[*]later waits for him to start the convo
After coming on super strong to someone who seemed to resist the idea, she waits to see if he's actually interested enough to respond. This is... the right thing to do. She doesn't actually know if he'd want to meet her again, even though she was very clear about how much she liked spending time with him and how she'd like to do it more. So instead of pushing it, she waits to see if he'll respond and indicate that he's interested. You see her in the bath happy that he does, and again almost looking lovestruck when she's at the gym and gets his messages.
If you want to characterize her as being manipulative and going quiet after the date to force him to follow up, that's actually what
he does because he's too nervous. She made it very clear that she wants to see him again. It's up to him to show interest in continuing to meet her.
[*]when they finally set a date she tells him to "be a good boy and wait for her"
Ten days later she hasn't heard from him because he's still in his head about how she actually didn't have a good time and would never come out again if he asked. He wants to, but he can't think of a good reason to talk to her and "wanting to talk to her" isn't a good enough excuse for him. He watches her socials and notices that she liked a post about a movie premiere that's coming up this weekend, so he invites her to that. She's happy to receive the message, we literally watch her get it and it's the gym shot I talked about up there, but has to decline because she has plans with someone else the upcoming weekend. Before you go AH HA, remember that this was the 'meeting her brother' subplot, where her brother almost got stabbed, apparently again, and they met up.
But, he doesn't know that yet. So he sees it as a dodge. He reads it, looks at it a long time, decides that she clearly doesn't want to see him, and is GOING to delete it until she calls. Where she says she wants to meet him next week, and we can literally watch him start to melt as she talks in his ear. She ends the call with that line, but it's clearly a sexy delivery, and we see her blushing and smiling at the phone after she hangs up, saying 'how cute.' Almost like she finds him really cute or something.
If you want to characterize her as being demanding and manipulative, this is after she already asked if he wanted to see her again and got a non-answer, then asked if seeing the movie next week is okay, and after she didn't hear from him in 10 days. If anything, it's an attempt to keep his interest when she knows she won't see him for a while and hasn't heard from him in a bit.
Also, how many more of these suspicious "out of context" lines do you need to be convinced?
You keep fuckin' striking out here dawg, so... gotta do better.
