I like when just a year older senpai characters in mangaverse unironically act like a 40 yo pillar of wisdom and expect you to take them seriously.

It's more than just that. The more time she spends with him one-on-one, the more she remembers what it was like to have that focus all to herself, the more she struggles to pretend it's fine to leave him to her sister. The student council camp arc shifts her thinking dramatically, particularly the night she sleeps with Masachika and wakes up in the same bed together. Even then, she holds on, thinking he doesn't remember her and couldn't possibly feel the same way about her that she does about him. She does hold out one sliver of hope, though, that seeing her in the places they used to go together might bring back those memories and she decides to spend the rest of her summer break visiting those places, leaving it to fate whether she pursues her own heart or gives up for good.

And fate gives her a push at the very end of V4.
Not that I doubt you or anything, I'm still kinda new to it all, but I read through manga, watched anime, came back to see this chapter and now I'm a bit confused. I don't remember camp arc - is that something that will come up later and is not yet released online, or is there some alternate edition?
Apart from that I totally agree - Masha really must have remembered Masachina, just chose to not act on it and see where it all leads, at least that's my impression.

Ah never mind. I found out about the novel, now I have 9 more volumes to read, and there goes my last chance of doing something productive during Christmas vacation. Curses on all of you for doing that to me!

Why have these last couple chapters seem to be reposts? I remember reading this chapter already, and yet its popping up again on my feed as unread.

It follows the end of anime S1 pretty quickly. The manga hasn't reached that point yet.

Ok, I'm reading the novel because of you all, and by Volume 4 Masachika's brain tragically dies.

Alya: "Please ravage my body, I'm laying in your bed, I'm teasing you in my swimsuit, I'm open for anything, and even though I'm saying all of this in Russian - you should be able to hear wetness dripping from my panties!"
Masachika: "Hm, I wonder, what could she possibly mean by that? Anyway, better play it safe and go flirt with her sister, while abandoning Alya to my psychotic sister who tried to drug me just a volume ago."
Then again, they are 15-16, so what else is there to be expected?
