Good twintails, too bad she's redacted and not in a way I find cute.

Its a fun manga but dear Lord the MC is dumb. I hope this doesn't carry over too far because this would ruin the story. If a character is basically a mindless vegetable they don't make for an interesting protagonist. Being a walking nuke doesn't change that a lot... then it just becomes OPM without the hidden depth.

Basically Bocchi x Solo leveling x One punch man. For me this is just turn your brain off fun. I see some people in the forums don’t really like it and that’s understandable and valid. But personally I like it, just don’t take it too seriously. Yes, the main character has an iq of 1 but to me it has not yet been to the point of being insufferable and it’s funny in my opinion.

Bravo to the creators of this manga for making a character so unfathomably stupid I had to go take a walk

Misunderstanding trope can be fun if done right but this manga SUCKS at it. The mc is beyond stupid. Not even being a countryside bumpkin can justifies her having IQ lower than a 5 years old. She has no situational awareness and acts so painfully stupid that it hurts the story.

This series is entirely unoriginal, not remotely funny, and it just fucking sucks. It's one of those "Let's take a bunch of successful stories and mash them together so we can piggyback off other people's success without knowing why they're popular" type of stories
Originality? In this day and age? Every manga and Light Novel series copies ideas and inspiration from other series... Even One Piece, Naruto, Bleach these three were inspired by Dragonball.

Mashing together ideas to create a new thing has been around for a very long time.

Since Chapter 1 they've established the MC as someone who lacks Common Sense (which rooted from them not having TV and internet in Gunma), it's exactly why Kinoko's little sis asked Usoyama to teach her big sis how to have Common Sense and teach her how to be a normal High School Girl.

MC's goal is "To Make Friends" not to be a genius or to be Number 1.

Great premise, well written. This last 2 chapters are a bit of a let down though... They didn't need to make her that stupid... She can be a little oblivious without being completely ignorant...

Skip out on this one. The MC completely ruins it by having an IQ lower than dirt

I already know that she's not meant to know everything 🙄 But dragging the whole cult misunderstanding for almost 10 chapter is pushing it. It stopped being funny when she not only lacks common sense but literal basic human cognition skill. Is she a vegetable or wha? 💀

I think the author succeeded in portraying her lack of common sense properly, which further shows how important Usoyama is going to be for the MC's developments. Also part of the reasob why the misunderstanding dragged out was because of how focus and how desperate Kinoko was in not upsetting Usoyama (who as we know couldn't get the cloth on her mouth) if only she was able to remove it when she had the chance she could've straighten Kinoko more quickly.

And besides, thanks to that dragging we got to know a bit more about the history of Strangers and more things about the Gardeners and their Awakened abilities.

It's not registering to her brain that something bad is going on around her, her focus is to not upset Usoyama and lose the supposed "Part-time job" they participated together... She was getting paranoid way too much because she didn't want her friend to lose her only friend And because she still hasn't met anyone that can be deemed a "Threat" to her.

Think for a second what matters more to Kinoko? The horror that unfolds in front of everyone or the "supposed part-time job" she and Usoyama took together? Obviously the part-time job, the villain bossman tried to tell her over and over but because of her paranoia and her her desperation about not alosing her only friend, it's not registering to her brain.

After this arc hope we'll have some downtime so Usoyama will have time to teach her things.

You claim her lack of common sense is portrayed well, yet you also admit that it was dragged out too long 'but that's a good thing cuz we got worldbuilding' bruh a few bits of worldbuilding sprinkled in don’t fix the fact that it’s become tiresome to read. Compare it to One Punch Man: Saitama’s strength gets misunderstood constantly, yet it never feels annoying because the payoff is always entertaining. Here, the misunderstandings are just frustrating and TOO over the top and even after they’re resolved, you’re left thinking the MC might actually be brain-dead.

It was ok at the start, but this arc has dragged on for way too long with the whole part time schpiel. I get that MC is socially anxious but the comedy kinda got bland when we're beating a dead horse over and over again over the same freaking thing (loosing "part-time job" = loosing the "friend"). The setup for trying to "justify" the bad guys feels moronic too (oh no, government abused us, so lets destroy the world). They should have alluded to this whole "defense ministry or whatever might not be as good as it seems", then it'd make it at least a tiny bit more believable. Guess I just don't vibe with extremist ideas.

Man I like the concept but isn't she too oblivious like how can she willing to accept being attacked as punishment. Well it is very slow burn but I will be hopeful for the future. I wish they don't drag it long for a single fight . Dragging too long makes one lose interest in these kinds of manga.
