Also why would you report the person you were just trying to kill as missing?

Finally Cross losing focus in the middle of the battle was just plain stupid after how focused and serious he had been.

Overall mediocre chapter. Nice art, but too much cliche and logical inconsistency. Discount Mordred's motivations and actions are all over the place, and MC is too much of a goody two-shoes to feel like a real character.

In an ideal world, he would have simply run away (maybe attracting the monster's attention if he was feeling extra generous) and survived long enough for one of his teachers to arrive and save the day, ending up half dead but still having grown from the encounter.

Man this was almost a decent fight and then they had to have that clichee bullshit where the MC just forgets hes fighting and they both almost die from being hit...and then he just creates a skill out of thin air? why?? They already had a winning strategy though???? ugh.
Also lemme guess he gained that growth skill after killing that giant thing at the start?
