What the husband said hit too close to home for someone who had already lost a loved one... I believe if you've had a 2nd chance at life to be together with a lost love one, you would have not wanted to waste even a second of it.

@Luftwaffles so, by that logic, the Americans need to be hit by 50 nukes to learn theirs?

she "was" his wife. right now she is someone else's child.
yeah, there is reincarnation stuff and all, but man, learn some common sense. you won't spend any time with anyone if you are in jail.

"I don't care what others think"

This isn't just about other people's opinions, it's about you not ending up in prison and never seeing your wife again, you dumbass motherfucker
Do you really think that he will have a regret going to prison? He is truly hopeless. There's no way he is going to care about people's opinion, even if it's the most sane and utilitary option he has. When the dirt is composed of love or obsession, no reason births from it

This is in near-equal parts deep, depressing, and hilarious..

I feel for Dad's lack of concern, since this reincarnation of his wife is indeed a literal miracle for him. It must be heartbreaking to hear your own husband say that they "already lost you" - even if it's "once, a decade ago". You yourself died in the most literal sense, a permanent and painful conclusion in your relationship with the entire family... but somehow you're back. It's possible that one of your loved ones, especially your special other (i.e. Dad), may turn inseparable. It's one side of dealing with a reversal of death, different from what Mom may feel by "returning back to life".

But yeah, existential thoughts and newfound inseparability aside.. you can't simply announce that you're wed to a little kid without raising suspicion, or inviting a kick to your front door lmao. And what do Mom's current parents know about this series of events? I just hope we see what's up with all of their world throughout this series 🍜✨
