Thanks for the chap! Never in a million years could I have predicted that plot twist, at most the only hint I could deduce was Spica showing overt interest in the idol multiple times lol but I’m unsure whether that would even be considered a clue.

Honestly feels like an asspull but still interested to see where it goes.
Well tbf without Spicas powers, I’m sure there are cases where ppl completely unrelated but commit crimes and get away with it bc they’re strangers as opposed to an aunt kidnapping their nephew or so

After all some serial killings are still unsolved to this day but I guess story wise it does seem frustrating , tho idk how over the top it’ll get compared to something like Dead Tube

While the twist got me, didn't see that coming. it seem like a questionable choice.
the first case is pretty much 10/10. it was brilliant reverse subversion. This seem like just for the sake of make you not guess correct.
Well, the "answer" part is close so let see how it go, but i am not so confident about what coming

I wonder how many ppl on the JP side of the comments said something like “it’s totally gonna be the idol LOL” as a joke or so

Ok time for a hypothesis:

Chapter 5 - Page 6 : We learn that the idol is 18 years old.
Chapter 7 - Page 21 : According to Spica this is a lie, she's infact 10 years older, so 28 years old.
Chapter 7 - Page 20 : She wrote her debut song "Whistling" while she was 15 years old, we don't know if it's indeed true or not.
Several chapters : The murders happened 13 years ago, so when the idol should have been 15 years old.
Chapter 4 - Page 13 : The husband is seen whistling along a song several times.
Chapter 7 - Page 12 : Just as the idol, most probably the same song.

The idol is linked to the woman the husband was secretly meeting (daughter?), maybe she committed the murders by jealousy of seeing "a foster dad" shared with his real family (hell, she could even have been the true paramour) or maybe the husband has something to do with her idol career as we know (Chapter 4 - Page 7) he was often busy with work.

Edit: Forgot to mention, the video (Chapter 4 - Page 13) he's viewing could either be his time with the then future idol, either as a new "daddy" or her first steps as an idol/singer.

Woah. What a twist. I bet nobody saw that coming (including me).
And sorry to the detective. There just so many twist with this author. We have to think outside of the outside of the box.

Every single one of you from the previous comment section must apologize to baker Tani-san for suspecting him to be the murderer.

I always suspected the neighbor who complained about the noise, which can still be her, so until that is cancelled i am still on this damn race!

Of course because i assume that the Detective could have had a chance at solving the case, but if she is really just some random idol, then that would suck so much

The only way I can see why author did this is this case is bigger than just the arson and the idol, this idol reveal has to be a set up to something bigger, no way they just insert random ass idol as the murderer and end it there
