You know what?
At first I really likeee this manga.. but but but..
Around 3-4 months ago (I don't remember exactly) when the last volume of the light novel from the official translation came out.
I have no interest in seeing this anymore.

They will be getting married.
I saw pieces of their wedding pictures (preview).
If you are one of the people who are active in desuarchive, you'll know it.
Well, I'm not that active but I often visit that site.

Enjoy with its cuteness for now, if you don't like it or disappointed, don't read it.

Just wow. I come to the comments to read the opinions of other fellow enthusiasts of this cute manga, and what do I see? Spoiler after spoiler after spoiler... Of course, there's nothing wrong with spoilers themselves, but the snide and derogatory comments that come with them is just disgusting. Just because the story doesn't end up in their ideal, fantasized, way they decide to demean it and bring negativity onto other readers. Honestly speaking, that's a bigger dick move than any potential plot twist this story could bring. I normally don't involve myself with the behavior of the comments section, but this was just on another level...

tldr: do yourself a favor and don't read any of the toxic comments below

Came to the comments to check if this would end up in an unfortunate way.

(End of wn spoilers behind this:)
thank you to the people who posted that it became like the rest of usagi drop at the end, it's always a bit uncertain how a light novel or manga will end because of manga that. If it is pretty seriously saying a very young kid is in love with their parental figure I'd really just rather not read it in the first place. Been burned by that twist in a short before, rather not repeat it. It's creepy and disturbs me way too much after the addition of a little one in my family.

Going to pick this back up now. I put this on hold back in bato.to days, but am sure that by now, there is enough sweet moe light-hearted fluffiness that I can get over "The Incident".
Edit: Wait... I already said that....several months ago.
Well, I tend to not read/watch the things I like the most. Want to savor it. I think I read 1 chapter since then
Edit2: My God I love this. Where is the anime? Where is the anime!
If any studio dares to do a lousy adaption of this we shall riot!

Went to the comments to see enthusiastic fans, left with disappointment towards the authors. Really? That’s the ending? Ugh. I’m gonna keep reading but probably just stop when I feel uncomfortable and pretend the ending never happened.

L(° O °L)L(° O °L) all the comments with spoilers and people who get raged over the ending.......L(° O °L)L(° O °L)

Its not like he was his father in the 1st place and she never saw him as a parental figure, she was explicit in that part. She felt grateful of him for doing that and taking care of her, but never saw him as a parental figure... Only he did, so I have no probs in that regard, they are a different race too FFS and to put the cherry over the cake ALL of the sharp people around dale actually noticed the little girl then Young girl, then Young maiden feelings.

Im happily reading the LN now that the wn well....ended.

PS: You all have to take it inside your little brains that web novels, light novels, manga, anime are not made for us western audience, they are made in japan by japanese for japanese people, selling outside and getting revenue from us, is just a plus for them.

PPS: Dont take it to heart, if you get mad over my comment, that means I'm right and you are wrong, and you took it to heart which you shouldnt, its just facts(the ps).

@conscript117 I didn't read much of your comment, but the little I did read felt like a spoiler in itself. Please put that in tags as it reveals far more than I want to know. In case you didnt know, the format is below (you can directly copy/paste it without changing anything if needed)
Code:
[b][[i][/i]spoiler][/b][i]Your Spoils here[/i][b][[i][/i]/spoiler][/b]

Haha you gey fooled. its seem abit off when i came through the comment, its far more wird for usagi drop because the gap is way too far. But this is for very starting is explained the age, and explained how this little cute things call her guardian, not as father but as person. But as thick-headed the protagonist is, he thought this little cute thing as his daughter, and well the story goes on

Whats up with the abrupt end? Ive scanned the web for any news related to this and nothing... Seems like another dead end manga with great wholesome potential here.

Oh hey, I didn't know this had a manga adaptation. Cool.
Anyways, there sure are a lot of people whining
about the morality of fictional characters. Is it that hard to understand that they're FICTIONAL, live in a fantasy world and have no reason to follow the rules of the real world? Even when the girl herself says she never saw him as a father figure? Even when he's a human and she's from a race that develops into adults fast and lives for hundreds of years?
But nevermind that. This is cute as hell so you should read it.

I don't care about how "immoral" it is, caring about morals in fictional media is for cowards. I do care about having a good story about a cute daugteru not being ruined by romance, because I'm not reading this for romance and so far none of it has had any appeal as a romance, all of the appeal has been about adopting and raising a cute daughteru who is not for lewding. Sure, the girl probably wants the big human dick, but the idea that he could see her as anything other than his kid with how fatherly he's been so far is absolutely jarring. Maybe a lot happens between then and now, I don't know, and nobody else who hasn't read the novel knows, but you gotta try to understand why people might not take a liking to the idea that this turns into a full-blown romance later on. Maybe it's a slow transition that's executed really well and make perfect sense and everybody will love it when it happens, but right now it's like if you told fans of a slice-of-life comfy comic that it turns into a hard-core murder mystery manga by the end. If a manga needs to give something time to develop, then dropping spoilers on people is even more of a dick move because it messes with their expectations before the developments even start happening. So yeah, fuck those guys below for even talking about the ending, even if it's intended as a "warning," people who don't want it to happen should be able to catch wind of what's going on when it starts and bail before it gets bad.

The only reason Usagi Drop's ending gets so much shit from everyone is because it came out of fucking nowhere for no reason. It got shit from people mad about the parent/child thing anyway, but it gets shit universally because it didn't make any sense. I don't think it's fair to compare this to Usagi Drop until we see how it happens, but I also don't think it's fair to call everyone uncomfortable with it a moralfag, because if that ending were to happen right now then it would be just like Usagi Drop. Let's see where the manga goes, and if it turns out well in a realistic and understandable way and people are still whining about it, then you can start talking about fictional fantasy interracial morals.

yeah it cute af tho

It's funny how people are using the "it's just fiction" argument to defend the manga against criticism from people who found the ending revelation unsettling or even offensive. So what if it's fiction? Doesn't mean people need to be okay with it just because it isn't real and then expect us to pretend like the whole parent-child relationship never happened. He thinks of her as his daughter ffs and now we find out he's going to be her romantic interest too? That is just wrong, fiction or not. Makes me think of child grooming.

Did you ever stopped to think of why murder is wrong? Why roberry, rape and and other crimes are wrong? Because people actually are harmed in the proccess. Who is being harmed in fiction?
Also, she already said herself that she never saw him as a father, you guys are whining about nothing
