I hope the anime won’t look too low budget. That’s what I’m concerned about most.

@Serverclosed the anime should reach well past this point, up to at least the end of volume 2 of the light novel, although i'd say its gonna go up to 3.

Really hope the anime will be great and that everyone will enjoy it! The anime man said he might check it out so hopefully, that made this story get more exposure.

Yeah but that type of rifle still wouldn't fit into anything but a full sized daypack.

Just let it slide
or next file/story is gonna tick you off

@Serverclosed
I already said this in an old chapter but, anime trailer confirmed the adaptation of File 7 (LN Vol2 3rd File/Story) as a character introduced during that file made a brief appearance so im pretty sure it will cover atleast most or everything of Vol2 (its the PV2 if you want to see for yourself).

@TheManBuck: Seems like it would be very hard to clean if the weapon can't be disassembled further than that. Unfortunately my google searches for disassembling AK-101s all end up with AK47 results instead. :/

So, apparently, this what it looks like once dismantled :

Seems inconvenient that you can't dismantle the canon and the stock.

Thanks for the heads up, the author and artist have actually been doing a great job depicting realistic firearms, but I shouldn't expect anything made for entertainment to be perfect in that regard.

@Madcat6204
The rifle can be disassembled further, for cleaning, but can't be made any shorter (not without a hydraulic press).
On a side note I think your google searches were actually good, the AK 101 is essentially just the name for an AK-47 that fires a specific bullet.

The stock can be taken off with a screwdriver, but its not something you're really supposed to do. In countries where you can own a rifle like this, removing the stock would drop it way under minimum length requirements and you could be charged with a felony.

The barrel can be removed for service/replacement, but you need a hydraulic press to remove a 7mm steel cross-pin.

@TheManBuck: Possession of an assault rifle in Japan is a significant felony anyway, so I doubt any legal restrictions on removing the stock are bothering Toriko here. The inability to remove the barrel without workshop tools is surprising, however.

The girls make a habit throughout this series of carrying their larger guns disassembled in packs and then reassembling them once they get to the otherside, so you'll probably want to get used to it.
