Not sure if anyone else felt this way about how Einar and Thorfinn were drawn in those last panels but (to me atleast) Einar is looking more like old Thorfinn and Thorfinn is looking more like old Einar. Thank you so much for the translation, i must have refereshed this page atleat 100 times this weekend haha what a great chapter. Worth the wait!!!

I think Styrk is more at risk of doing something rash during negotiations than Einar is. Styrk almost certainly holds Ga'aoqi as being primarily responsible for Ivar's death (even if he didn't personally kill Ivar, Ga'aoqi cutting off Ivar's hand and taking his sword basically locked Ivar into dying the way he did).
Not just Ivar but also Ganglati and the rest of the Ivar crew. To Styrk, Ga'aoqi took away everyone he cared about. It's real obvious that he's aiming for revenge.

When Ivar and Styrk were introduced I had a hunch that Styrk is the real dangerous one. Remember when Ivar was quite shocked when he caused trouble but Styrk knew all along about the consequences. He's a cunning bastard.
Also sad to see Einar like this. I really hope things go better from now on. This is depressing to read.

I am wondering if Thorfinn is going to have to fight in the end to protect the rest of his people.
Thors is the paradigm of what Thorfinn strifes to be, and Thors died protecting his son.
If the whole situation gets way too out of control, I can see a scenario where Thorfin has to protect the sick, the injured, his wife and children so that they can evacuate properly.

I don't see an ending where Thorfin dies tho, the real life counterpart is said to have made it to Greenland after failing to settle in Vinland.

I get Thorfinn, I agree with him here about the ceasefire. But, he's never going to get anywhere because he doesn't have leverage. He's a doormat, he would let his home burn because he refuses to fight, and no one has any reason to abide by his rules and ideals. Yes, peace is good and violence is bad; sometimes words can stop the violence but a lot of the time it won't, and just letting it happen by not fighting back just causes more damage to the people he cares about. If he wants to stop the violence happening around him he needs to stop tolerating it and letting people get away with it.
