It's mostly just unreasonable in context, she's madly in love with Ajisai and not with Mai, and Mai has broken her boundaries and assaulted her before. So given that, it seems rather insane for her to put them on the same level when considering going out with one. Kaho provided a very good solution to it in dating Ajisai while Kaho comforts Mai, solves all the issues. Poly is also a solution ofc, and where this manga is definitely heading towards, but like, Renako is only madly in love with one so it still feels weird

"I don't wanna hurt those two.." is literally a fucking trope in MALE MC harem manga, to excuse the MC into being wishy-washy/not choosing any romantic interest till the end to prolong the harem situation.

Like, holy fuck, if Renako was a man, you would not be here supporting her and her indecisiveness like this, nor would you even think of supporting a poly ending I can assure you that.

Poly is all well and good and I respect anyone choosing to be in a poly-relationship, but it's not a realistic FIX-ALL to relationship problems, especially one where, and I will quote someone's else who put this much better:
