No idea why everyone loves pitiful Nene so much. She is cute, but she is a coward and continues to mess up by being Goeidou's submissive play thing. She got thrown away by Goeidou and came crawling back and Goeidou threw here away again. IMO Nene will always be trash until she gets the courage to pursue an actual relationship.

To be honest I was worrying quite a bit over what that final page could mean, I mean everything seems to be going perfectly, even Kanoko's monologue is no longer grim and doubtful... And you know that's a really good sign coming from Kanoko of all people.
So why did they have to finish it off with such an ominous page? I do very much hope that your interpretation is the correct one, it's true that Kanoko's smile in that picture wasn't for Sumika, and now she smiles at her a lot more frequently and genuinely, so if what you said hits home, I'll be very, very happy with this pairing!~

There were moments where I hated both of these characters (yes sumika as well) but this chapter was very good in how rewarding it felt as accumulation of this arc and its characters plus it wasn't just a drama for the sake of it, its amazing how talking things out actually works in this manga. Also I hope kanoko and sumika work it out and get together even though it seems very hard as those feelings still exist inside Kanoko but not bottled up this time.

Don't you think the end game of Nene-san can be the new girl of the kitchen? She only show up in some panels but it feels like she can be the one.
