Aw yiss
Just read this a couple of weeks ago. And then someone immediately picks it up? Nice.
Also, on this chapter. It starts off really weak doesn't it? Just young people babbling on a trip.
It only really starts picking up speed with the teacher on the way back. And there's soooo much to process there I'm sure I'm missing some stuff.
Old teacher is an asshole. But he's not wrong, and Taka knows it. Taka really exposed his vulnerabilities, and the teacher was an asshole for being rude to him about it, but Taka did it because he really wanted someone to confort him over it. Is why he gets so flustered when his teacher calls him out on it.
We also learned Taka lived alone with his mother, again, teacher being rude calling out him reaching out for a father figure. But even Taka kind recognizes it with his comment after they calmed down a bit.
And the teacher WAS right about Taka's looks affecting his relationships with his students. We've seen that that happens. A lot. Even despite his general morose disposition. But he IS still a dick about it, because that is Taka supposed to do about it? He can't help his looks. Is that why he's so taciturn? Is that him trying to play them down? Makes one wonder.
Thanks for the translation. Looking forward to the next one.
