I think Jack Vance's Cugel novels (bizarre fantasy comedies from the 1960s and 80s) would be really well-suited to the format.
That's an interesting perspective. I'd like to see Dying Earth adapted to other media although nothing about it strikes me as particularly manga-like.

I would support LotR, Wheel of Time, and Dune adaptations.

Others I would like are:
  • Le Guin's Earthsea
  • Discworld
  • Dragonriders of Pern
  • Sabriel

I would also like to see an adaption of the Wandering Inn.
It's already an isekai with leveling. For one character, it's more a slice of life and Ryoka has a more grimdark world.

Dumas' Three Musketeers should be good for manga adaptation. There's a lot of action. Not much blah-blah. Many different characters for all perverts tastes.

I think Forgotten ruin by Jason Anspach would make for a really compelling isekai manga. And I also seen a Narnia manga around here somewhere. Oh I almost forgot but another one I'd have to recommend is He Who Fights with Monsters its about a half japanese aussie gettin Ya know isekai'ed i haven't kept up with it tho.

Topic: No idea, but as mentioned itt Homers works and the Three Musketeers might do well, we also have a good manga about Hannibal vs Scipio and the second Punic war but that one is not fantasy.

Gankutsuou: The Count of Monte Cristo is a solid anime

@Falador being a fan of fantasy novels myself the list would be endless but my no. 1 would be Eragon. This story is too good for the bad movie adaptation. It saddened me that after the one movie it was buried and forgotten 😢
I'm not into fiction outside of anime & manga, but a friend recommended me Eragon. It's one of the only books I plan on reading outside of the ln&manga sphere; how good is it?

The Book of the New Sun but if it's adapted in a way that resembles Tsuruta Kenji works

I'm surprised that any anime studio hasn't touched upon the idea of making an adaptation of The Dark Tower books or really just any Stephen King material in general. Needful Things would be an quite interesting OVA.

Considering:
  • 99% of anime is in fact advertisement for LN/manga and barely by itself profitable (usually in red)
  • licensing popular/famous works isn't cheap

Do you honestly believe any sane studio would do it?

You forgot to add "you'd think they would adapt something not written by a Japanase or plagiarised and butchered by several authors?", because the only material they have read regarding D&D is Records of the Loddoss Wars and nowadays it's like forgotten and they instead read works based on that work or even third-hand and worse. I mean, you think any of them have read Lovecraft directly to make any Cthulhu-like series, someone without copyright?

I wouldn't mind seeing a Spiderwick Chronicles anime that'd try to mimic the books' artstyle. With an OST by Igorrr, please.

Salvation War series by stuart slade. Modern military squashing armies of angles and demons, invading and occupying hell, portals used to create lava streams on human cities, a literal Highway to hell

The Silmarillion. Mainly because it's full of action compared to LoTR and also has less risk of axe since they're relatively shorter.
