What are some bad suggestions you have for mangadex

Remove the totaly customisable avatars and allow only avatars that are variants of the defaut pfp, like the ones in the "Dex-chan Default pfp Appreciation And More?" thread.

Also, i must say that my last suggestion in this thread did partialy come true, at least for a day.

Honestly I have no idea how that place hasn't been taken down yet, they're even hosting official licensed releases now.
That reminds me that I have a couple of Thorgal volumes I haven't read.

I actually quite like that Batoto is hosting official releases. It's useful for instances like if no one is fan-translating a manga I want to read, and the official version is digital only, or has crap localization.

I wouldn't want Mangadex to host that stuff though, since I want them to stay around.

I'm more surprised that C&Ds are not sent to group websites for paywalling chapters. Let alone MD mods doing anything about it.

Add a key system to purchase reading licenses for chapters.
The keys are sold with non fitting amounts(3 key chapter, you can buy in quantities of 2, 5, etc)
And then you don't even get guaranteed access to a chapter, but the keys are used for a crane game where 90% of the time you win nothing due to the virtual crane being extra weak and the other remaining 10% you get a random chance to get the chapter you want or a random other chapter from maybe this series. Though in practice most of the time you get a shoddy MTL chapter of a slop from either isekai, korean battle or a chinese wuxia adaptation.
With a chance for duplicates.

For every chapter read, you get a point in your profile. For every series completed, you get additional points for how many chapters there are in said series. If a series is DMCA'd or taken down, you get double points for having read it before it got taken down. The high scorer of each year is posted on the main page, along with a list of everything they read.

Add a mechanism to select multiple chapters and load all the images on a single webpage.
This way, I can read all these 1-page doujin chapters all at once uninterrupted, without having to load a new webpage for each page.


Then you do that with manga chapters with 30+ pages, it'll suck up all your bandwidth and crash your browser.
