This is great to wake up to. You don't know what you've got until it (she's) gone/taken by someone else, huh Hanako? Seems a little uncomfortable with all that PDA for Sadako and seeing Tae-wol didn't change her mind. I love how she tries to pretend her first feelings for Sadako weren't intense attraction before she found out she was a witch and her prejudice kicked in.

This series is always throwing me for a lovely loop. Now I'm wondering what comes next since they're not that antagonistic to each other. Some lines here imply a larger world at play and I can't wait to see that.

I miss Certified Hater Hanako. Seven chapters ago she would be throwing hands with these influencers the second she found out they were witches.

What happened to you, Hanako? You used to be cool.
She's fallen in love with one witch (who she pretends to hate) and has become a fan girl of another. Happens to the best of us. I'm thinking she'll reach her limit again though.

That Mone witch is either her instincts are correct or just out of jealousy because they were all getting along and she gets unnoticed.
No, we already know she's bad news from ch. 1. Sadako was purposely kept out of human habitats by whoever her "parent" witch was, she has zero understanding of mortality or morals, and she somehow either outlived her parent, meaning she's more immortal than or outright killed her, or she was abandoned by her. More importantly, it's played for laughs in the chapter, but the phone camera caught her true form in her first selfie which matches exactly how Mone sees her. Let's also not forget that we only see how the thrillseekers met their end by accident, but there are a heck of a lot of bones inside the house.

So Witchery is something that can be granted? Then what's Sadako's position in this whole lineage? As far as we know, she's been alone since forever and never met another witch until she went out into the modern world.
I dunno, right now we can see that the 4M group were like animal spirits originally so probably already full of magical power. especially given Tae-Wol needed to go to this house, which sits on a leyline to recharge.

The four of them were probably already latently magical enough to teach magic to. and this is presumably not just a thing you can do for everyone. Not without dunking them in a leyline first.

Well how shes introduced she doesnt know how humans work.
Maybe she is indestructible and doesnt know what death.
When people show up and take a dirt nap at her house she just leaves them to it.

it makes sense that mone would be wary of her given these examples, but i still think she's misjudging sadako at least a bit. the "dangerous" aura may very well be just because she's very powerful, as we've already seen. she's been pretty completely oblivious to human customs and all, and we've never seen her outright kill anyone (or even have a grasp on the concept of death). we really just have to wait and see, i'm sure more of her backstory will be revealed in future chapters.

on another note, i don't know why it never struck me that hanako's an actual witch... looking back on it now, it was so obvious. no wonder she's so strong.

She might be related to an oni. Somehow that ties into things. One of them is.
yeah, i was just rereading and noticed that. although i think technically in this world onis are considered witches too, it seems to be an umbrella term? since the group of 4 seem to be animal spirits(?) rather than traditional witches, but still referred to as such.

That's how you reply to sleeper agents

Figured, the witches been grooming them to expand their ranks, smart if not disturbing
Now I wonder if their gonna get redeemed as good guys?
If so it'll depend on the execution I'm not sure I could get behind them if their this insistent on intervening in my main ship

Oh?
To be fair there do be alot unknown about her, what have you learned?
Have a nice day

I wonder if the Witches Sabbath actually can see Sadako's evil aura and are grooming her for command or some other high ranking position. I don't think we've been shown that Mone is especially sensitive until now so perhaps the others can see it too, but their obviousness is a facade to cover up how terrified they are of Sadako's power while they scramble for a solution?
If I may make a suggestion to the Sabbath. Get Hanako to kiss her; that'll make Sadako nice and docile and definitely not backfire by giving a quite vengeful woman access to a means of revenge.

Yeah, I read the first chapter again, and Sadako lived alone in that ruined house in the mountains for most of her life. She was around another witch, but there's no indication if she's actually related to that witch or, indeed, if she has aged at all. They are completely different people in every respect, but the other witch is much more human-like and also seems to have just left one day. There was a vlogger at the start spouting about how witches made pacts with the devil, so that might be a source of their power, but you think that'd be a major moment to show if Sadako went through that. Something is really freaky here.
