After time and time he gets into a new place and picks up a small fight to only be caught up in something bigger this is starting to get a little annoying. Otherwise its super good with realistic combat and the MC doesnt have so many skills even the autor doesnt remember about them.

A fan of this, the last few bits haven't been filler exactly but nothing on the scale of the first arc has happened so far. It's funny, I saw copies of this is in Barnes & Nobles, had to do a double take.

I’ve been reading since the beginning and it’s always crazy to me just how cutthroat this isekai world is. We’ve been inundated with feel-good, slice of life, OP MC’s to the point that this feels so foreign. Every single person has an ulterior motive. It’s been an insane ride but I’m excited to see how he’ll develop further. It really is a survival story.

Ch 55 was very verbose. Ch 56 was good given the situation. Good balance this time. Looking forward to more

Yeah. It’s very down to Earth and the magic also isn’t in your face.

I have read until chapter 58, which is as far as one can read at the moment, and so far its been an interesting read. My problem is how everything seems to end in a fight, not really a fan of that.

this chapter better not get axed cause it is SO GOOD we need 2 chapters per day! but i do understand that the creator needs rest. so: as a new resting contract: he will be on hiatus per month free to do as he pleases on paid leave, until he comes back to make the next chapters... under my jurisdiction ofc. unfortunately that would contradict the 2 chapters per day, so as compromise, it will be 1 chapter every month +1 day he comes back.

Peak, like actual good story, not just some problem is thrown at Yajin for the plot but rather the consequences of his actions due the uncivilized nature of people together with places that barely uphold the laws.

Don't read if you love your OP characters, slice of life, flashy magic, or happy go lucky feels this is a survival story with realistic plots and world building which isn't so kind as to let the MC do whatever and whenever.
9/10 read tho if ur interested

Great thing about this comic: the world is insanely hard on MC and makes him struggle hard for even bits and scraps.
Horible thing about this comic: the world is insanely hard on MC and makes him struggle hard for even bits and scraps.
It has this refresing realism and feels like Joker's wet dream in which everyone is a psychopath ready to use the MC for their own interest and treat him like an utter garbage.
But over time, the toxicity adds up and becomes tiring.
The MC has only a few bright points in his life and you start to feel his story as a miserable struggle in an endless sea of quicksand...
MC never establishes any real connection to any other characters except his pet, as he is constantly forced to escape the ever growing despair that awaits him at literally every step.
My honest opinion is that this comic needs a bit more ballance between the hope and despair.
The villains need more slightly more fleshing out as they just feel as holow entities of evil that only serve purpose of making everyone around them to suffer.
The side characters need a bit more wholesomeness to make him feel sad for them and even miss interacting with them in a benevolent way.
And most importantly, MC needs to catch a break 🤣
It is getting too sad to watch him struggle and constantly have pretty much nothing except keeping his head on his shoulders.

The rockcliff arc was such a banger. When ever I pick this up from a long time after I marinated the chapters, I always read it from the start just to again read the Rockcliff arc.

Amazing manga it caters to people who thinks "Heh, If I were in this situation, I'd do this". The fight scenes are pretty flawed though with no weight behind them this is most obvious on rock lizard. Still they could remove Karate and turn it into "Survivalist in another world" and it would've been much better.
