Super spoilers (really) :
MC sees Maou. Approaches, takes sword in his gut, touches Maou, uses Restoration.
"I restored him to when he was a fetus."
MC restores himself to full HP. Lifts his boot up, squashes the Maou fetus.
"Another request accomplished. Let's go, my harem." 😎

This is like a very bland version of that revenge-healer. Restoration can literally do anything, apparently, but this MC seemingly chooses to remain mediocre for no reason what so ever.
It's an okay read, but below average even for isekai standards.

If I'm thinking of the same healer kicked out of party series you are referring to, it turns to crap really quickly. Ch 30 and beyond gets progressively worse; granted, might not be the one you meant, since name of series wasn't mentioned.

Oh and none of these are isekai, only fantasy. Isekai is quite specically person transferring to another world, you got the genre wrong here.

Probs a different story. I was referring to the revenge-porn healer story, the one with which "Healing" literally does anything. Anything. He even went back through time at the start of the story.
And I meant Isekai, didn't get it wrong. At this point, Isekai is a blanket-tag for anything that is fantastical, and is pretty badly written with over the top tropes.

@solipsist fair enough on the series reference, but I disagree on the alteration of the term isekai. The fact that the term is misconstrued due to ignorance does not redefine the term. It's like not being able to tell the difference between manhwa, manhua and manga purely due to a person not caring or willing to know that it is completely different cultures and countries, not just the fact that they are all some form of comic.

There is a reason why we have genres and categories in the first place.

Edit: there are still decent isekai (usually older series) like Twelve Kingdoms, which is arguably one of the first truly succesful isekai genre of story. Going by isekai equals tropey fantastical bs, it would require new genre tags to be made. Especially when heavily cliche, meta, trope, beta male mc are all existing nomenclature.

Welp, what can I tell you, that's how language goes. I'd wager 95% of the people around here would all immediately think of "tropey fantastical bs" when they hear "isekai". It works as a blanket label.
edit: you really felt it necessary to make the same reply on another thread...?

@solipsist the first reply was before reading your response.

Honestly, most communities I've seen and interacted with know the difference between genres and tags. Let's just agree to disagree as there isn't any point arguing further if we have different definitions.

One thing we can clearly agree on is that most of what is available to watch/read is usually trash, or containing elements that worsen something with redeemable plots.

@An76685 NO! thats not how it should be! you can't agree to disagree with something thats factually incorrect lol thats like saying "we can agree to disagree that 1+1=11" no! the answer will always be 2. the guy used the term incorrectly..it's not a matter of opinion here. lol the healer story had a guy who went through time so thats basically a tensei. its a shitty story-i drop that crap so quickly.

i actually came on to shit on this manga as well before even finishing a chapter. lol

Agree to disagree quite literally means we dont agree, and neither will we ever change our minds, so the subject is closed. I believe isekai is only transfer/reincarn to otherworld, he refuses that. So it's an impasse and we gave up on arguing further.

That's all it is.

@An76685 and by doing that you're acknowledging that he has a point even though you don't agree with it. that is what it means to agree to disagree. there is nothing to disagree on when the facts are the definitions of those terms. you can only agree or disagree with something in the realm of opinions and ideas not when its based on facts. but i do understand that you just want to drop it because there's no getting around to dumbasses like him.

@kanaloa I think I learned that phrase differently then, as I was always under the impression as it being a nice way of just saying "screw this, I'm out."

Granted that could be a form of colloquialism at play, with the common use not always being the intended definition; shameful to admit, I know.
