Aren't those last 2 pages the first of the next chapter? It seemed like it when I read the raws (in the volume).

Hatigarm's releases are higher quality and downloadable directly on their website. I don't mind having these as lower quality previews.

@OniBarubary They're holding series as hostage though, while I do not care for donations, patreon is taking everything to a bad turn.

I'd just like to take the time to remind everyone here.

None of you, including the person releasing this chapter, have any moral high ground to stand on. Pirating & translating a series while making money is no more evil an act than pirating & translating a series while not making money. You're both breaking the exact same copyright laws. Making a bit of additional money on the side for your time spent is irrelevant.

Also to say scanlation costs virtually no money as a blanket statement is patently false. The translators, for their time & skills, often do end up charging for their services. Particularly if it's a series they know nothing about & don't care about. The amount they ask for per chapter could be relatively low, or it could up as high as about $15.

There was a time when Meraki with all donations combined were bringing in about $2,000 and spending more than that in order to keep up their release rate. Is that "scamming"? Is that anymore "immoral" than what we're all already doing (piracy)?

I don't think so, and I think if you sit back and really think about it you probably wouldn't either.

Scanlation isn't just a couple of bros doing a series they love. If it were there's a whole host of series that would still be sitting around dead and unscanlated.

Hell. Exhibit A: there's still a whole host of series sitting around dead and unscanlated. And here's the "scanlator just doing what he loves for free" not picking those up, but instead picking up an already popular series that's being done at, granted, a bit of a slower pace. I'm not knocking him for doing it, hell I don't even dislike him "sniping". I think it's hilarious. But you can see how people will go for things that are already well known to them and popular, rather than searching for things they've never even heard of and scanlating them.

@lashauk

Don't lie. Hati is a lot of things, but Dru isn't one of them. He's not holding series hostage and demanding X amount of donations or they won't be done.

Hati's a slow scanlator, but that's because of poor leadership & often unmotivated staff. Not because he's holding things hostage.

I can understand complaining about the morality of translating pirated works for money (even though the people who read said pirated works don't really have any right to act sanctimonious) but that "it doesn't cost money so you shouldn't charge for it" logic is something that I could only expect from a little kid or someone who didn't finish elementary school.

Welcome to the concept of "services", people, where you pay for the knowledge and skills of someone and not just their production costs (if they exist at all). Even if done by amateurs, trying to reason that a translator or anyone who offers a service reliant on skills rather than materials shouldn't ask for a monetary compensation (and in this case it's not even that, it's just asking for voluntary donations) will get you laughed at for being a stingy fool.

If you want to translate for free then I praise you for that but stop stroking your cock over it.

Sniped a series for the lulz, now Hati's anjo scans are removed from MD. Wow. SMH. Appreciate it that you're translating for free but be careful not to fall of that high horse, it's an awful long way down.

There's always a right way on doing things.

@CannedWaifu pretty much this. But lets focus on the chapters at hand rather than on the rage quitters. ;)

Everyone pretty much already know Seto and Anjou are a couple in school...lol

@FredFriendly indeed but I'm not pretending like I ain't aware of it am I?
The first page lacks self awareness and just comes of as hypocrisy once you think for a bit and they say "it's just trolling/shitpost" to make up for that
Tl:dr that first page is just dumb and lacks sense

@Kalocin , do we still on the same page here or maybe we've been thinking on a different thing? Lol?
I've been meaning to retort on this "hideous" you've mentioned before...
Actually nvm, lol...
