Sensei is a real bitch telling a student it's better if they just give up. High school teachers are reknown for not recognizing real talent. Actors, comedians, scientists, etc. have all been told to give up. For instance, Thomas Edison's teachers told him he was “too stupid to learn anything.” Looks to me like Sensei is the one with no real talent.

Actually, I think this translation flubbed up the meaning of that sentence and ended up massively changing her tone.
I lost patience and figured I'd practice my moon runes back after the first few chapters of this volume, so I don't have this quiet fresh in memory, but now when I check, the raw goes "コレ... 恥ずかしくないでしょ？", "This isn't embarrassing at all, is it?".
She's not going "Wow this is trash", she's going "Wow this is nice, but I don't feel any of you in it".

This teacher is a bit hard to nail down the tone of since she's pretty blunt, but I got the impression she was a bit bullish, but warm.
Not very easy for Toyoda to deal with, but I think she gets across to her, at least later.

I'm glad we got more of these two characters. I can relate as an artist.

Also, her style is really good. Props to the mangaka for doing something in a distinctive style that's different from the manga, itself. It always bugs me when in cartoons and comics when the things that are supposed to be animated are drawn the same way as everything else.
