Remember like 50 chapters ago when Inukai was part of the "seven"? Then she was at the bottom of the popularity poll and now the story has reframed around the "six".
It's kinda sad since she was clearly designed to be someone who would mesh far more naturally with Saotome. But I guess the author would rather bend to the will of the polls than stick to intention. Which also means we know exactly where this is all going.
Ushigome came in a far third in the poll despite having some of the best interactions with Saotome, so in this arc she was essentially villainized, and used more as an impetus for Kuzuhana and Takae (who lead her in the polls) while torpedoing her own chances. It's kind of frustrating how blatant the pandering is.
For appearances sake, Aoi and Madoka keep getting tossed a bone now and then even though there's really nothing interesting about them.* Kamogawa at least has more of a personal growth arc, so while it's a given things won't work out for her romantically, it's not a waste of time. She'll still end up happy in the end.
* Edit: my viewpoint here is that their notable features are entirely about their past, not present. Madoka is the childhood friend (which means nothing about her current worth) and Aoi had a traumatic middle school experience (which also means nothing now). If you take away these past things that aren't relevant to their current relationships, they come down to "the girl who is pretty good at cooking" and "the girl who is pretty fast but also lazy" and those aren't wildly engaging properties.
