I love these slice-of-life but borderline existentialist moments. Really brings the work together and makes the world feel lived-in and fleshed out, whilst still being connect by some underlying themes.
I could never become a teacher. I remember what my class was like. I'd probably be struck down by karmic retribution or something, since it's not like I was innocent.
I really like nighttime because the quiet atmosphere makes me comfortable ..... and this manga captures a perfect image of that..... a different environment contrary to its daytime counterpart that fills with people with rushed activities
It's pretty cool when you can see the human behind the persona. I say this as the guy who was also faking the honors student thing and ended up making friends with some of my teachers.
I sometimes still talk to them after that catastrophic graduation.
If this were to totally ignore the "romance in a year" thing and become exclusively a slice of life showing the contrast between how people act publicly and privately I wouldn't be upset.
This is the kind of atmosphere I yearn for in any story; chill as fuck, just taking what looks like a heavy topic and just making it lighthearted, something important you can read at a calm pace. Fuck yeah.
