well, this feels like we are diverging more and more from what felt likke the story. Still it is understandable that there should be pushback to mc's want to be a vampire cause he is depressed in middle school. I don't think japan does what the west does where the dumbest kids set the standard it leaves so many kids unchallenged, uncaring and bored with life. I honestly think we all grow the more responsibility we take on or harder tasks we take on in life. that is what life is, taking on new and harder tasks in a way. As a baby your only responsibility is to stay alive. Then you add on stay healthy, get an education, make friends, learn common sense and common chores. Get a job, get a spouse, raise some kids, move up in the world, buy a house, keep it maintained to build equity and so on.
Bad thing about being a vampire is that if the same problems you had as a human still haunt you as a vampire, the only escape is suicide, accidental death, having someone murder you or suffer through not drinking blood for 10 years. It would be hard to live in human society which operates during the day for the most part. Unless the manga is gonna do the "humans acknowledge the existence of vampires" and tries to integrate them
