When he arrives in Lambda (naked, reincarnated as an adult), he is sent close to a merchant being attacked by bandits, who are attacking the merchant's daughter, Hannah. Kanata kills the bandits, then burns the girl and merchants alive, cursing her for her name. He takes their clothes and carriage as his only method of transport now that he doesn't have technology with him.

while it doesn't matter, I don't see how he could not care about his new birth parents. It isn't like you aren't able to love those you aren't related to and who you meet latter. People find parental love in others all the time considering many kids are adopted.

some of the reincarnators do treat this new life as a new opportunity, but some are still attached to their former lives. some are also traumatized from drowning in the ocean

Would you say the same for Van who was sold by his parents and then turned into a guinea pig? So maybe Kanata's parents were just the annoying type or something (he has superior fortune like all of them, meaning that they shouldn't be all that "bad" at least).

Well, even without the reference to having the same name, the even may still happen just the same, we just won't get a one liner from Kanata, and he will seem more brutal to random people (something he totally is), rather than doing what he does for some minimal coincidence.

WN readers have dubbed him Rodiot so that probably clues you in on just how stupid Rodiot is.

tbf be immensely fair to Rodiot he isnt wrong to think that Gungnir could be able to easily kill Van for a variety of reasons. Gungnir has a favorable destiny due to Rodiot's blessing, he has that ability (which is honestly kinda OP) and was in the best possible time period to be able to kill Van as Van is strong but can still be killed at this point.

If Kanata had bothered to learn how the world works and had experimented with his abilities and had spent some time leveling up his skills and his level and laid low without brandishing his Gungnir ability against a ton of people then he had a very good chance to win against Van. unfortunately for him he took the new world lightly and tried to speedrun it cause Rodiot told him his 4th life would be filled with riches and bitches

i was so confused when i saw guns all of the sudden. i realized right away what was happening but still was quite the shock to just see guns with that cliffhanger of what the emergency was. i'm going to assume since we had that somewhat random jump that this guy is a part of the problem that was brought up before the transition.

Living with dead people in this world means either insanity or necromancy, and neither one is considered a good thing by humans, far as I'm aware.

Rodcorte isn't exactly the smartest. Even though the competition is tough, he is a solid candidate for being the most stupid character in this story.

oh right I forgot there was another subplot about the dude who seemingly.. has the same name as Van..? For some reason? Honestly its been so long since we really had anything more than a panel about them show up so ya

The other people involved in reincarnation will serve as a steady supply of antagonists, allies and other important characters in the story.
With how much is happening in Origin, it could very much be its own story.
