Yes and no. This honestly reminds me of the first big battle of Arifureta. The “hero“ runs off to fight on the frontlines and fight a behemoth himself since that’s what a hero should do. But his classmates are left behind and with nobody to lead them, they all almost die and he doesn’t even notice til Hajime points them out

a leader/hero/brave cant just charge forward if He’s got Allies fighting besides him. He needs to consider them and make sure they’re safe too.

I’m so worried this will go in the direction of the light novel. This story was absolutely cooking for the first portion…and then that last chapter came out and what the hell happened??!? This chapter was more on pace with the older chapters, but damn, I really REALLY hope the manga goes with a different plot from the ln.

The pacing was crazy last chapter. The previous chapter, we find the wives are all OP and stronger than the hero, and then all of a sudden the Dragonlords make them useless. Such a weird direction to take this in.

No, this is... you're right. You're right. We had power shifts that happened quickly. I kinda liked it that the wives were OP, after all, MC wasn't the OP one in the main party, just really really supported them. Now he's OP. Why spend all those chapters hyping up the wives and their power only to make them outdated like this? That's a waste of chapter space more than in Overlord when they give backstories to any antagonists.

Probably to give him at least some survivability, plus he wants to protect them, nothing wrong if he got a boost.

the only ones who are evil are the hero's father, and the other ex-husband's sin is that they no longer love those milf that's pretty much about it. Also, the hero party's only sin is to kick Ceres out of the club, that's pretty much about it. when you say the MILF party is evil I agree since they're pretty much bullying their children when they get back home with raging hate boners to their children even tho the ones who wrong them the most are their husbands (and not all of them only the hero father) (I think I remember that they lost to the demon king and got tortured and amputated (?) by him and one of the party members got so traumatized she even can't lift a sword). tbh I can't wait for
