My question is WHY she doesn't think she's in love with Rihito. Even going full-on berserk when the idea of marriage for Rihito comes up. I guess it's just because if she recognized her feelings for him and pursued them, that'd be "too much progress" or whatever but man.
Due to her past experiences she thinks that if she becomes lovers with Rihito they're going to eventually break up. Whereas if they're just some incredibly close form of friends, their relationship can last forever

People complaining about this? Isn't her getting clingier with time a sign she's falling in love with Rihito?

Unironically she may need to distance herself from that glasses coworker, she's actually a very likeable person but she isn't mentally good for Noa and she doesn't even know she has that effect on Noa. She puts doubt in her and Rihito's platonic relationship and everyone in the office probably knows already that Noa is emotionally sensitive and starved of affection
You are missing the point.
Noa is leveraging her sex appeal knowingly to extract more than a healthy amount of tolerance from Rihito.

She’s become emotionally dependent on Rihito yet still demands (emotional coercion through melodramatic reactions) a monopoly on Rihito’s attention.

Sure Noa is flawed. The solution to this isn’t to cut people off or just get more formal and conciliatory about negotiating her desires. The solution is for Noa to actually commit to being in a relationship that should actually warrant the obligations she demands from Rihito.
Calling their relationship platonic is ONLY defining the relationship by the sexuality. This wouldn't be a problem if Noa clearly wanted Rihito to be attracted, actively tries to be seen that way, and invades boundaries someone only drops for those they are sexually interested in. It’s leading someone on pretty maliciously to claim all this relationship privilege while fervently denying any significance romantically or sexually.

I gotta set up a Google alert for Nene Tanka cosplaying as Noa. It’ll probably never happen, but if it does, I refuse to fucking miss it.
also, thanks for the chapter. It feels like it’s been a while since there’s been a full-on meltdown 🥰

Having read a lot of rom-coms, even yuri or BL, I got the impression that many authors on one hand are trying to make readers feel "this is literally me fr" by showing problems with toxic partners, and on the other, using it for "realistic" drama and comedy. Although I don't argue, some authors go so far that people in the West are ready to hate love interests as emotional (or even physical) domestic abusers. Especially when it comes to tsunderes. There's an adaptation of one LN airing right now where the main female lead literally gaslights the MC because he's too dense and she can't tell him how she feels directly.
Himari is the scum of the earth. She has a special place just for her in manga hell. Can't believe i'm saying this but even Akane is not that bad.

Funny enough, I didn't get upset about her behaviour, because let's be honest here. She wouldn't be hot without it.
It's the saying "I Love You" when you're not lovers that weirded me out 🤷

I'm with you there. there's been so little development regarding her character that at this point I'm starting to agree with the sister that she's just crazy clingy/annoying.
C'mon we've known she's super clingy, annoying and crazy since chapter 1.
Why do so many keep acting surprised this late into the series. They're both deeply flawed and compliment each other rather nicely.

Also dont forget the most important thing that makes Noa different from irl psychos, besides being a manga character. She doesnt want to cross his boundaries. That girl is deathly afraid of hurting him in any way shape or form. I mean, look at how she hesitated with the hug when that is something she's desperately wanted for a long time

I like the manga but man is it getting drawn out. I’m not saying I want them to be a couple by the next 3 chapters or anything but give me a sign that they’re both open to the thought of a romantic relationship with each other. Instead of this farce where she wants him to herself without a proper label.
If my memory is correct wait for like 9-12 chapters till we get a new status quo between them

Isn't established very early? Multiple break ups affected her perception of romance so much she desperately clings to more safe "friendship" relationship. If Noais this worked up and fearful of not losing Rihito in the "friend" status, the thought of losing him when she is much in love with him would break her completely, I doubt she ever recovers in case of ultimate rejection.
