You mean, making the translation sound consistent? Especially in cases like this one where the language of the work is just a stand-in for a fantasy language. Translation is about conveying meaning, not just words, across languages. The levels of respect honorifics convey can easily be translated into English with different titles or just by how commonly pronouns are used (would work well for the Priestess argument) and any additional meaning should be discernible through context (even if the translator has to add a little something in).
And for the record, I'm weeb enough to understand honorifics, but I just feel they're pure unnecessary clutter in this context (excluding when Mio, Tomoe, Shiki, etc., who use Japanese when speaking to MC).
Anyway, don't diss good translation practise with your slippery slope fallacy.

1)No one who can read on this site is unaware of honorifics and if they still somehow are - they are tourists and do not matter.

2)In later chapter honorifics would be plot relevant to show rudeness of one particular person. It would be weird to drop them now only to include them only there. Besides, it will show exactly why honorifics matter for Japanese.

He is dealing with complaints about Makoto and his company from established places and will be verbally brutal in his handling of Makoto, who makes the mistake of lying to Zara and is caught out.

You're comparing apples to oranges. Replacing honorifics is a perfectly sensible stylistic choice in this context, while all that other shit clearly has other, less pure intentions.
I frown upon their use here since A, it's mixing aspects of two real languages in context where one fantasy language is spoken, and B, they are too specific to their language and therefore their world of origin to be used in this setting, which breaks my immersion (I have the same issue with the (over)use of 'okay').

Please keep. It conveys the different levels of respect and there isn't an easy equivalent in English.

If need be add a note explaining the difference between -dono and -sama.

As an aside, imagine a situation where a senpai addresses a female kouhai with "-kun" or a male kouhai with "-chan".

Or conveying one character using "watashi" versus "atashi", or "senpai" vs "paisen".

A localizer would just erase the nuance and use TikTok talk.

Edit: suffixes are important to practically all Asian cultures to denote closeness and hierarchy. The only time I personally accept them being removed is if the setting is a medieval feudal society because those settings have titles as equivalent, ie "Lord" "Lady", "Young master", "Your Highness" "Your Majesty" etc

Why didn't you try and respect her "Freedom of choice", that you claim to believe in, and try and convince her not to put herself into danger? Instead you accuse the people your Priestess chose to be on, of holding her hostage, and demand she be returned to you, regardless of what she wants.

Also the fucking dumbasses in the comment section about dropping the honorifics are just ridiculous. The denotation and way each person views others, is very ingrained into each interaction. So removing the honorifics simply dismisses any semblance of hierarchy and respect each character has with others. Titles themselves aren't exactly the same as the honorifics used by Japanese. And those that claim to be fans that regularly read manga/LN/anime, but chose to have the original culture bleached out, ousts themselves as fakers.

i used to denoise raws using waifu2xgui and a loaned dataserver gpu.
but that wasnt the problem, i was new in ps and auto changed all the images to CMYK color format to use the genfill tool of ps since gen remove wasnt working properly for some texts and genfill didnt work in the raw greyscale format. So when i compared them yes, the cmyk images had blue tint but i did try to fix this by just cropping the cleaned background only! Nice of them to catch it.

Did you fix it already in the older chapter or am I just blind because I just can't see it?
