Like, you understand that the things someone thinks they want and tell people that they want don't always align with their actual desires or needs, right? Like, yeah, she's said aloud to others, especially Reshtoka, that what she wants is revenge, but that's not the same as her actually wanting that. People are more complicated than that.
Except she wasn't just saying it aloud, she was internalizing it, rationalizing it, hoping for it. It was literally her lifeline for surviving out in the cold region until she met Reshtoku. You can't get any more of 'wanting revenge' than that. Not to mention the whole 'people are more complicated than that' doesn't really go well when nearly every other character in the series have been aligned in terms of how they act with what they want. Even the sister, who can be considered 'complicated' is pretty on the nose with what she wants. You can say her actions don't align, but at the very least there's the reason of external factors keeping her from it to a degree. Karina doesn't have any of that.

And of course she rejected the stuffed animal. She had already decided that it was impossible for her to fix her relationship with her sister so she could only see it as an additional hurt in their relationship, not as the peace offering it was intended as. She has no more access to her sister's intentions than her sister has with her intentions. They're both just guessing.
If Karina had already given up on fixing her relationship with her sister, then she doesn't nor didn't always want to make up with Aurora like you said. It no longer serves as her motivation or goal, and thus can't be considered to be something that she wants. This is especially the case, when Karina not only rejected the stuffed animal, but also berated her maid, and destroyed her castle, therefore possibly cutting off the last link she had with her sister until she returned to the kingdom.

People saying that they should just communicate when we see in this very chapter that Reshutoka makes an active effort to communicate with Karina and see what's wrong, but Karina refuses to. She's a bit dumb already, so she'd naturally end up trying to guess what Karina wants.

This doesn't really solve much in this situation. Karina doesn't know what's wrong, she doesn't understand why taking revenge wasn't good enough for her, she is as confused about her own feelings as Reshtoka is about them.
Well yes, but at the very least you could express to your fiancee about your plan to kill her sister before immediately jumping on it.

My initial post in this thread extends to every character in this series. Aurora, Karina, their mother, the entire kingdom needs to sit down and have Naruto come out from the page to execute Talk no Jutsu.

Problem is theres no plot.
Prince really hates her for no reason and cuz of him everyone hates her.
Sister does nothing to stop this and is basically complicit.
Wolf can pretty much do anything but receives no requests so nothing happens.
MC wants revenge but her revenge strat is to do absolutely nothing and has no compatibility with Wolf.

Right now the wolf deciding that killing the sister doesnt actually make any impact on the plot unless the MC secretly cares even though for all she knows the sister wants her dead.

We literally know why Orlando hates Karina. We know why the rumor mill around the palace was kicked up against Karina.

We know that Aurora was physically separated from Karina for the majority of Karina's time as Queen-in-training, along with the rest of the Crocus Family, and was still bedridden and not privy to what was being spoken & gossiped about due to her poor health.

Reshtoka wants to see Karina happy, was told "revenge will make me happy", helps with revenge, doesn't end up making Karina happy, doesn't know what to do. (Again--literally this very chapter.)

Karina doesn't know why she's hurting so "revenge" was what she thought would help. That wasn't going to address the root problem, as we have had laid out for us. Which is why she is no despondent.

Reshtoka deciding to kill Aurora literally follows the Fairy Tale that mirrors the plot of the story up to this point. It will also cause further confrontation with both Aurora and Eve, and likely Orlando, once again pushing Karina back into narrative tension with her sister to compel another chance to advance the plot surrounding their relationship.

I mean....it's all in the story we've gotten up to this point. I feel you'd have to be either ignoring half of the chapters entirely, or willfully misinterpreting what we've been given, to get wrong all that you have, here.

So you don't want a story?

Plot is driven by conflict, and the history of the characters and their relationships. The current status quo for every character has already been paid out and justified by events that we have witnessed.

This entire thing is built around the differences in perspectives of the characters and where the discrepancies in their interpretations of events contradict. Inviting some deus ex machina to come in and force a sit-down like you're describing does nothing for the story itself.

Demanding it is just seeking instant validation and refusing to engage with the story as the author has presented it.

You know this actually makes a lot of sense, i mean what kind of stupid ass vengeance was that? ALL she did was interrupt the wedding and that's it? The Prince sent assassins to kill her after exiling her and all he gets as punishment is the trouble to plan another ceremony? Besides now that the prince knows she is still alive he can try to have her killed again so reshtoka killing them wouldnt be that bad, better safe than sorry

Uh oh this is complicated. They both are trying to make sense of the situation but that seems to draw the most extreme conclusion... it's good that the previous chapter we got to see more of the princesses (Aurora and Karina) past and I guess is in Reshtoka's nature to be at this extreme.
I also really wonder what Karina mindset is at this point in the story and also would like more of Reshtoka's past. Why would an unfinished book mean so much for her? And this obsession and love? For Karina is so intense has everyones has mention so far. Does she think she will gain the ultimate happiness as long as they are together? Reshtoka's feel more of a mystery to me as the story goes on.

Thanks for the TL.

For the millionth time, imagine if communication existed in scenarios like this in manga 😭
Generally I would have agreed
But Karina literally asked Wolf princess to bury her exile fort under avalanche just because her sister set her foot in there(and possibly killing all the staff there).
Karina also made Wolfy do the fuck up the wedding stunt(where again people were hurt); so this particular conclusion is actually pretty reasonable.

No that's the thing. I WANT a story. A good story, even. But if a conflict exist, that when you pull back their skin, is caused by miscommunication and can be ideally resolved with a proper sit down and talk, said conflict is not a GOOD conflict.

This manga presents itself as a low-mid fantasy political intrigue but its as deep as a high school tantrum drama. Not necessarily bad on its own, but good lord the delivery of it has been very lackluster.

It's actually not that misinterpreted.

The Prince hates Karina because she was chosen instead of Aurora to be his fiance. The problem here is that the Prince irrationally pointed that hatred towards Karina and solely Karina. That hatred isn't at all extended to her parents... y'know the ones who decided that Karina would his fiance as opposed to Aurora.

So in short, the Prince's hatred is irrational, misplaced, and therefore unreasonable. There is no reason for him to hate her (enough to not only have her banished but also assassinated) over her parents when it was their decision. And due to the Prince hating Karina, nearly everyone else did too. Most of those who didn't, merely hid it and acted friendly enough with her until she was banished.

Aurora did indeed do nothing, although in her defense she was bedridden, during the decision to have Karina chosen for the Prince. However, she (as far as we know) didn't do anything when Karina was banished, and only acted AFTER the first assassination attempt had failed.

And yes, Reshtoku can pretty much handle most of the threats that the humans may pose, and that's just her. But prior to this moment, she only acted on Karina's orders, which were for the most part beating up guards for information and crashing a wedding, which didn't amount to much.

Lastly, yeah... Karina's revenge plan was a flop. No other way to say it really. And as a result, she's stuck in a self-depreciating rut where she still has nightmares over the past...

So yeah, there's a whole lot in the story... and it's a mess.
